For every soldier that we bring back home - we replace them with an anti-war protestor.

Apparently these highly intellegent protestors think they have a better solution than war... so let just ship 'em over there so they can make nicey nice with the terrorist.

Problem solved!

Hey SirNic,

Do you feel there is a difference of someone who opposes the war whether by voice, blog or privately versus someone that physically protests against the war like a Sheehan?

In response to your question on Char's blog for a solution.

I was down with our gov't going after bin Laden and Al-Qaeda, the parties responsible for 9/11. My beef with Bush is his invasion of Iraq as a means of distracting the American public from the fact that we never caught bin Laden.

Bush has done a great job at this. People rarely even talk about bin Laden now (THE MAN WHO TOOK RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE MURDER OF OVER 3,000 AMERICANS!)

So, my answer still stands, I wouldn't have Americans over there in the first place. Where does Bush's invasion and war of terror end?

Does it bother you that you are brainwashed?

Very well said Sally... I too am very perplexed with the way the conservatives never tackle the issues head on..they waffle..just like George W. So where is Bin Laden? Does anyone know? Does anyone care anymore..Instead of putting over 150,000 soldiers in Afghanistan and hunting him down we are bogged down in Iraq... Fighting a war that no body really knows why we are there anymore... So my advice to Sir Nic..if you are so gun ho why dont you go to Iraq?

LDS - you still haven't answered my question. You're giving coulda shoulda wouldas. What is your solution that you would impliment NOW.

"""So my advice to Sir Nic..if you are so gun ho why dont you go to Iraq?"""

Well first off it's not my job. However unlike you I continue to provide morale support as much as I can to our troops that are continuing to secure our freedom from future terroist attacks.

POV - my initial reaction which prompted this post was in response to the anti-war protesters who have resorted to vandalism. To your question at hand... yes there is a difference in "protestors". There are those who actually "protest" by providing legitimate alternate solutions.... and then there are those that protest just out if spite (as in the afore mentioned statement).

Got it SirNic...

I wanted to see where I fell with you in your opinion.

I am against the war. I do not resort to vandalism or personal attacks on others who are supporters.

My solution, yet radical, is simple...I have always said we need to get our guys out of there and just demolish that whole side of the world.

I know that sounds very foolish but it worked in our favor with Japan.

I am against war in general.. but sometimes it is neccessary. I have two cousins and numerous friends spouses/children over there and nothing would please me more than to see them home --- but I know and they know that would be the biggest mistake right now, especially by provided the enemy with an end date. The point is we are there - so victory is the only solution to coming home. Bush's biggest mistake was not going into Iraq --- but was not going in with the full might of the US military and wiping out the insurgents (terrorist) right from the start.

i can surely agree with you there...

i still think regardless of lives lost, one little A-Bomb dropped and they will get the point.

I answered you, Nic. They wouldn't be over there. I assumed you could infer that I would bring the troops home.

I agree with Sally... THe biggest mistake was going over there a picking a fight with people who have been fighting each other for 100's of years. So in comes the powerful US and now they are caught in a civil war... where 100's of Iraqis are dying on a daily basis..as well as our own people are also killed. So what do we do? Just like Sally said.. GET OUT!!!! and NUKE EM.... That would take care of the infighting as well as send a message to the rest of the middle east.... DONT MESS WITH US!!! But we have to do this the hard way... We have to send troops to die.. and die they will..And Victory..wont be seen in this region for many many years to come..In the meantime.>We are wiping out an entire generation.. For what?? So that George W can beat his chest and say Im a big man..

LayDownHankOnSally,
I hope ya'll are 1000% kidding on you analysis and solution opinions. If not, thank goodness people like you have NO input to the strategies of warfare. I understand your thinking of 2 + 2 = 44; actually I don't because is so nucking futs.
Again, war is not pleasant but when you are at war, there is a gameplan call "strategy". Do you chase one man or go after the whole group. Where is the generation that is being wiped out. George Bush is not perfect by no means but he had the guts to kick some Iraqi and associates butts along with eliminating supply lines and organized criminal activities in those areas who are the ones that create havoc in the United States.
Sally, talk about stuff you know about like needle point and gossip about the Baptist people who you shake your head at in disgust.
What a two faced comment, lets nuke them and show them who's boss. The war protestors say the U.S. is a bully; lets nuke them=what does that say.?
Some days you talk like you are old and mature, others you appear to be about 10 years old with the inability to think and rationalize.
Hank and Sally, are ya'll related ?

laydown and Hank- hang in there- the rest of America is slowly sobering up to the reality of this blunder that Bush got us needlessly into . Remember this- even as the Titanic was sinking, spokesmen for White Star line were running around proclaiming "don't worry the Titanic is unsinkable!"...The delusional will finally "get it" - sadly - Bush's war on Iraq goes down in history as the worst blunder by an American President of modern times.

Go to the top of the class!... wonderful idea! Only problem is, those cowardly protesters would surrender... then be beheaded, which is OK.... but I don't like looooosing.

For the 100th time.... Saddam was FUNDING terrorist (that means helping and supporting). There were and are terrorist in Iraq... ALL intelligence said he had wmd (which he did and used and some of which was found).
This is so simple, I don't know how one can't see it.
