I imagine we would be living in a whole different kind of world, and I doubt that it would be a better world.

You have to WIN, not just leave because a few people with no stomach to win wants to leave.

If we leave iraq it will be open field day on women and children in th U.S. the only way to defeat you enemy is to kill as many as you can until there are no more or the remaining will give up and surrender.

I am quite sure though there are millions in the middle east who applaud Pelosi's every statement

Bush's original statement was that the war on terror would require many years of effort that will be difficult and dangerous. Bush made this presentation to a Congress that agreed with him and supported the cause of protecting America. Now liberal Congress has all but forgotten whom we are fighting against.

This is hardly WWII and Bush is not Roosevelt or Truman by any means. The fact of the matter is, The "war on Terror" ended up in the wrong country. Where is Bin Laden? He was the one that was responsible for the attacks on New York. What if Roosevelt had decided to invade Switzerland for allowing German trains carrying Jews to pass through there borders. (Look into it, it acually happened) Where would we have ended up then? Bush should have never entered Iraq until Bin Laden was in custody. After that, if there was actual signs of WMDs and there was an actual threat from Iraq, then let's do what we gotta do. But to sit here and say that this is in any way similar to WWII is an insult to the brave men and women who fought that war. What is happening now is more in line with Vietnam. I have not only served my country in the Army, but I have also lost 2 family members in Iraq. I believe in commons sense and this whole thing stinks of stupidity. Think about it... Bin Laden was responsible for the attacks... so why have we not contiued to locate him in force and instead got ourselves caught up in Iraq. Just so you all know, though I don't agree with the Stupidity that got our troops there, I support each and every one of them and hope that they get home safe. I don't have to like them being there, but I will be damned if I don't make sure they are welcomed when they get back.
Hoo-ah!

Your sacrafice is felt and appreciated, but you totally missed the point warlock. The point is we ARE IN Iraq (with the blessing of BOTH parties) so we need to finish it and WIN it. You don't do that by declaring a due date.

The Dems are making fools of themselves, at the expense of the security of the country. And if we had heard this BS from them during WW2, no doubt it would have turned out like Viet Nam... forced to LEAVE AND LOSE.

Very interesting philanthropy by Warlock,.... but if a comparison is made of WWII to our current war situation, FDR made a terrible mistake. Hitler didn't attack us, why did we go into war against him. Further, why did we pursue Heinrich Himmler? Using the basis of the earlier comment, we should have only pursued Hitler, regardless of the fact that Himmler was operating Jewish death camps.
Our current American pursuit is to the destroy the infrastructure of al- Qaeda leadership which does not negate pursuing al -Qaeda leadership such as Zarqawi (we got him!) and the infamous Zawahiri.

good points, daniel. If we were fighting WW2 now, I suspect the Dems would chose to surrender to Hitler and Japan, if for no other reason that 'the world' would otherwise think poorly of us.
