At a time when California's public higher education, the University of California and the California State University, are raising fees on all students attending college in order to maintain the quality of education provided. Why would California residents support the California Dream Act as it is currently written.? "While I do not believe that undocumented children should be penalized for the acts of their parents", "I don't support the Dream Act as it is written", please review the Dream Act and call your State assembly person and tell them what you think. The CA State Assembly will be voting on the bill on Monday. if the bill passes the Assembly, the Governor will have the bill before him on August 24 or 25th. We need to push the Governor not to sign the bill this year, as it is written.
THIS IS JUST MY OPINION WHAT’S YOUR ?

It’s no secret that Green Dot Public Schools out performs all it’s surrounding Los Angeles Unified Schools and is in the middle of an educational reform take over, but can it make Locke a safer school?
Is Green Dot Charter schools really ready to take over Locke High School?
The Troubled Leroy Locke High School is known for its recent Brawls, high drop out rates, and poor academic performance. Could Green Dot be the missing key?
It’s no breaking news, according to the California Department of Education, Locke has a dropout rate of 46.2 percent and its Academic Performance Index score was 504, which means it’s at rock bottom in the state. Locke is the high school that is soon to be converted to a group of smaller charter schools by Green Dot public schools.
Locke will hand over the reigns to Green Dot this July but does Green Dot have the resources, knowledge, and experience to deal with these issues of reform. What I am talking about is the reform of safety, leadership, and unity that will be needed to get students who have become used to the violence on campus to join together to reform Locke and the surrounding communities.
This is just my opinion!! What’s yours?
