Oh man..now they've gone and done it!!  The Idol Judges gave the night to David Archuleta, which  of course, hacked off the Cook fans...soooooo now everyone's got thier tighty-whities in a bunch  because they say the judges were trying to sway the voting.

I KNOW the judges don't matter anymore..but you know they really do....did what they say sway your vote?

I interviewed Jessica Shaw from Entertainment Weekly magazine and she had 2 theories on the deal..

1,,,Simon "gave" the night to Archie, to upset Cook fans to make them vote more for their man..hmmmmm

2...in keeping with the boxing theme of the night, Cook "threw the fight"..hmmmmm, she said the Idols don;t get much "street cred" as singers because of the show and this would be a way for him to distance himself of it all...she called it the "Daughtry factor"..

so chew on that Idol fans...we've got a few hours to think about it and talk about it and yap about it and watch tonight to see KING DAVID crowned the next American Idol!!! But which one?

Tonight on our live reports, we hope to bring you some interviews from the red carpet before the show and live interviews with the 2 Davids and the other top 10 finalists after the show.  Woo-hoo!

So there you have it....see you in LA!!

Love, Randi

The Hot Australian Dude gets the BOOT on Idol...

It's the Idol Shocker of the Year, the Tamayra Gray, Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry jaw dropper of the season...

I almost dropped my vegemite sandwich, shrimp on the barbie and Fosters Beer.

Michael Johns, the Idol some said could win it all, gets voted off on "Inspirational week". Apparantly not too many people were "inspired" to vote for him. Poor little hottie.

What are your thoughts on this? Was it fair? Who should have gone instead?. We'll be talking LIVE with Michael Johns later in the morning...do you have a question for him? We'll try to ask him for you...

So, dry your eyes, Idol fans and start typin'

Who's gonna be there?

How many Idol freaks?

Why is it DIFFERENT? This is VERY Important...the more unusual, different, fun, quirky and appealing it is...the better your chances are of us coming to broadcase LIVE there in the near future.

Looking for a great place for live music WITHOUT having to drive around the highway 40 shutdown to downtown, Soulard or even Clayton?

My hubby and I wanted to hear some live music on Friday night. We discovered the SKY Music Lounge in Ballwin.

www.skymusiclounge.com

636-527-6909

What a place!

It's on Kehr's Mills Road between Clayton Rd and Manchester. (In that old building that looks like a castle, near Clancey's)

We were sooo pleasantly surprised! The live band, "Plastic" was awsome....alot of great different music! 80's 90's and now...The lead singer had amazing range and got alot of folks up there to dance.

The crowd was great and fun....not alot of beer-swilling college kids. Not very crowded, NO SMOKING!! (my throat feels great because of it). Great service, great food (appetizers, sandwiches, etc).

They've been opened since August. If you're looking for a fun, new place, check this out. Anyone living in Kirkwood, Webster, South City, Creve Coeur, Bridgeton, Maryland Hgts, S-County, W. County, St. Charles...easy to get to. From either HWY 40 or 44, take 141 to Clayton rd...go WB on Clayton for about 2-3 miles to Kehr's Mill...turn left. The place is right there on the right.

I know my hubby and I are going back. Check it out...hope to see you at the SKY music lounge.

Did anyone try to redeem a Wal Mart Gift card in the St. Louis area the day after Christmas?  Apparantly their computer system that reads the cards crashed and wouldn't allow shoppers to redeem them.  Wal-Mart is not specifying how many stores were affected.  So help us out.  Any stores locally turn you away when you tried to use it?  We wanna know.

Thanks.

This will make you all warm and fuzzy inside...

In the true spirit of Holiday giving...coffee drinkers bought java for OTHER people in the Drive Thru line of a Starbucks for 3-hours.  142 people did this...It's a campaign by the company to "Pass the Stabucks, pass the cheer"  Luvs it!!

But I want to know this...who's the Scrooge who stopped the string of kindness???

Share your story of Holiday Kindness on this Blog!!!

HERE'S THE ARTICLE:

Call it the spirit of the season. For more than three hours Tuesday, drive-through customers at the Starbucks on Bloomington’s east side didn’t pay for the coffee they ordered.

Rather, as each customer reached the drive-through window, he or she was told the order had been paid by the driver who had just pulled away.

By the time it was over, about 142 people had spread the Christmas spirit.

It all started about 9:20 a.m. when an anonymous woman told the drive-through worker at the restaurant at Veterans Parkway and Washington Street that she wanted to pay for the person behind her in line, said employee Erik Zambrano.

“She just wanted to wish the next person a merry Christmas,” Zambrano said.

Initially, the Pantagraph heard the spirit of giving was going on at the nearby Krispy Kreme doughnut business. But a check showed it wasn’t going on there.

But a later inquiry at Starbucks proved the Christmas spirit was alive and well. In fact, said Zambrano, people kept paying for the orders of the motorists in front of them until 12:57 p.m.

“I explained the person in front of them had paid for their order. Customers would offer to pay for the order behind them,” Zambrano said. “Typically, they were ecstatic the person had paid for their order.”

Customers really wanted to keep the chain going, said Zambrano, adding, “It has happened before. Someone would pay for a drink, but not that many. (Tuesday) it just went on and on and on.”

Occasionally, the store saw some breaks in business, but the random acts of kindness didn’t end just because the line was empty: A few drivers donated about $5 toward the next person’s order if no one else was waiting, Zambrano said.

A typical order was $3 to $5, he said, though an occasional person had a large order.

“Sometimes, they would pay part of those large orders,” Zambrano said. “Then (the person who placed the order) would pay the rest, but that didn’t happen too often.”
