I have to admit I’m not a Oscar De La Hoya fan, but in the same breath, as a fan of boxing, I give him credit for all his accomplishments in and outside the boxing ring... With that said, why doesn’t the “Golden Boy” retire?

According to Oscar, he plans to fight three times this year, and then retire. In my opinion he should have retired after his loss to Bernard Hopkins, in which a kidney shot did him in. Hasn’t this story already been written? Unfortunately it seems as if De La Hoya wants to add his name to the long list of fighters who fought past their prime and ended up eating the canvas and or as a speed-bump for other boxers.

Yes De La Hoya’s hardcore fans will still pay top dollars to watch him fight, but at age 35 he is a shell of what he used to be. I would hate to see him get seriously injured, just so he can say he fought three more fights.

Oprah Winfrey is allegedly livid with Angelina Jolie for not participating in one of her charities.

Jolie allegedly turned down Winfrey’s invite to help promote a girl’s school in Africa, because she is supposedly angry at Oprah’s siding with Jennifer Aniston in the wake of her split with Brad Pitt.

I don't know about you guys, but this would make for a great Celebrity Death Match. HAH!

That's right Ron is going to do some time for tax evasion. A judge sentenced him to three years and one month in prison. And believe it or not Isley got off easy considering he could have faced at least 20 years. Isley must also pay about $3.1 million in back taxes to the Internal Revenue Service. When will people ever learn that you can't hide from Uncle Sam?

Update:
So it looks like popbytes.com was WRONG about Ne-Yo coming out of the closet. According to Essence magazine, Ne-Yo did not come out of the closet during an alleged interview and he won’t be featured in the October edition of Essence. Oh well, would have made an interesting story. But staying on the topic of Ne-Yo… Guess what he and Corey Clark (Former American Idol Contestant and alleged Paula Abdul boy toy) have in common? They were both in a group back in the day that performed at the Apollo.

Is Ne-Yo out of the closet?

I can’t call this one... But according to popbytes.com, a site that is known for fanning rumors, the R&B singer will come out of the closet in the October edition of Essence magazine. Popbytes posted the following announcement, which is alleged from an Essence staffer:

The newly famed singer/songwriter has come out of the closet and announced that he is gay. The multi-platinum recording artist sat down for the October issue of Essence Magazine last week and announced the shocking news stating, "Yes, I am in fact gay, and I have always been." After several internet rumors have been circulating around the internet. He also said, "You know this world we live in is full of judgment, resulting in one of the reasons why it took me so long to come out." Earlier this month, a man by the name of Derrick Johnson claimed that he had an intimate relationship with the singer during there teen years in high school. He also said that for months the singer and Def Jam has been trying to pay him to keep quiet over the ordeal. Ne-yo responds saying, that the relationship did occur and he is no longer ashamed of saying that he was deeply in love. Reciting "That situation was what inspired me to write the song "Unfaithful". But no one knew it was actually about myself, and our relationship." He told Essence that he doesn't care anymore, he was tired of living a lie and is ready to come clean. Quoting, "the music industry can either except me for who I am, or desert me." The full interview with the magazine is expected to hit stands mid-October.

Have you heard anything about Outkast allegedly breaking up? According to mediatakeout.com the tandem has “officially decided to part ways.” They reportedly got the scoop from two Atlanta producers. Supposedly Andre is no longer interested in making Hip-Hop. As a Big fan of the group I hope this is false. But then again I guess nothing last forever.
