I hate snow! It @#&%!!  It took me over 2 hours to shovel out my driveway and now the wind is blowing it all back.  I missed work and lost a days pay.

Did I mention that I HATE SNOW!!!!!!!

You will not go bandrupt because you lost one day's pay. Try to make the best of it - have some hot chocolate, bake a pie, make some soup, cuddle with your pets (and your spouse), and know that, this too shall pass!

No, I won't go bankrupt, but 1 day's pay does matter because I'm only scheduled 2 days per week.

ps... I still hate snow!

Sorry about your loss. Just try to look at it a bit differently so you don't get frustrated.

Yawn, I took a nice little nap and am feeling somewhat better. Guess I'll go out and shovel that snow that's back in the driveway so I can hopefully get to work tomorrow. Take a look at the pictures I took today. The snow is shoveled to the top of my car!

And I still hate snow.

I too hate snow!! My husband and I shoveled the cars out, than, I grabbed a sled and showed the neighborhood kids how to sled down hills!!! What a rush! Haven't done that in years!! hahaha My daughter just laughs when I start acting silly!! Yes, I too lost a day's pay, and it does hurt the wallet, but, getting the opportunity to play in the snow with my daughter and her friends is worth it!!

If the snow wasn't so $%*#@!! high, I'd go out and build a snowman. It's up to mid thigh where it wasn't drifting and up to my boobs by the driveway where I shoveled.

I understand where you are coming from Pikie yet we have to go through this every year. WE have been lucky to not have any big snow storms for a few years. Maybe your employer will understand and pay you anyways.????

WE were told this storm was coming and we needed to be prepared, yet we never are..Are we?

Pikie - you may have been smarter than I was. Check out my blog "Dedicated?...or just dumb?" and you'll see what I mean.

I, too, allowed money to help in my decision, but I have major medical bills pouring in right now due to some health issues with my daughter, so I couldn't bear to be without a day's pay! But, of course, that wasn't the only deciding factor. Well, if you want, read my blog and you'll see.

Hope you ended up enjoying your day off, though! Tomorrow's another day and hopefully a better one at that!
