Good Morning,
Hope everyone is having a fair week...
(RIM SHOT)
OK...I have had a chance to peruse the heart-felt blog by WW about Dallas. I even got to the good part where Bella comes out and says it was Dallas emailing her. And yes, hell, I even looked at the LJ site and burned my retinas like the rest of you.
I have a pretty strong opinion about all this and some in here may not like it. I have questions that I know are none of my business from both parties. I am not going to lay out all my opinions in my OP, but I will say this and yes it's old, it takes two to tango.
I have to ask...WHY NOW?
On one end, I understand because this is a site predominately made of women. And certainly I can see why you all would circle the wagons against a potential predator, if there was one. All I see is an annoying dude posting UTubes in here. You all may see another.
Another important question...
Where are the replies from Bella to these advances from Dallas???? Is she the innocent victim here? Just askin...Dont bite...
Anyhow, I told myself I didnt want to get caught up in this. However, public humiliation and shame happens to intrigue me regardless the person.

This makes a lot more sense to me then what they are doing...
I'm against the $700,000,000,000.00 bailout of our banking system.
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $700,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.
Our
population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and
child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $700 billion that equals a mega-quadzillion dollars.
My plan is to give a mega-quadzillion dollars to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.
Every individual 18+ has to pay a snozillion in taxes. That sends mega mega-gazillions right back to Uncle Sam.
But it means that every adult 18+ has a quadzillion dollars in their pocket. A husband and wife has two quadzillion.
What would you do with a quadzillion to two quadzillion in your family?
Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college - it'll be there
Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car - create jobs
Invest in the market - capital drives growth
Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else
Remember
this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks who lost
their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
If
we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of
trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is
being
proposed by one of our candidates for President.
If we're going to do an $700 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
As for the banking system - liquidate it. Sell off its parts! Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
Here's my rationale. We deserve it and the banking system doesn't.
Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
How do you spell Economic Boom?
I
trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $700 Billion We
Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses in the banking system or in
Washington DC.
PS: Feel
free to pass this along to your pals as it's either good for a laugh or
a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $700 Billion! !

Good Morning,
Hope everyone survived yesterday's mess...Just a quick thought...
With oil prices tanking the way they are now and gas getting cheaper by the day, we will all be able to afford it to look for jobs when our economy collapses.
See? There is always a silver lining...
Happy Tuesday!

Good Morning,
Hope everyone is having a great morning...
I love this place... I really do...
What kills me are the people in here that get an email and rush in here and post it without even checking any facts or figures to just get a high five from one or two other bloggers to satisfy their self esteem.
I was deleted from Proud American's post for pointing out the math error in her post trying to create another Boston Tea Party around here. Funny thing is, she has people saying she is right.
She is trying to convince you that if the government gave 200,000,000 of us adults $425,000 that would be equal to the $85,000,000,000 in AIG bailout money. The post is so serious in all the things you could do with that money.
You dont even need a calculator to figure out that this is incorrect.
To distribute $85,000,000,000 amongst 200,000,000 people, you and I would only receive $425, that's four hundred and twenty-five dollars, not this lavish $425,000.
Moral of the story...
Don't believe everything you read in your spam mail.

Good Morning,
Hope everyone had a good evening...
Well, we got home last night and the chicken we had out seemed to have a sour smell to it. So, we decided to order pizza from this place up the street that has pretty good stuff. We got the standard (2) 14" one cheese, one pepperoni like we normally do.
Anyhow, we asked if we could have some of those pepper flakes that you sometimes may put on your pizza. I only eat cheese pizza and like that. "Sure" they said.
OK, pizza comes and we dig in to the boxes and guess what? No pepper flakes.
I'm cool with it. I am the type of person that just cuts losses like that. I dont get all pissy and want free stuff and crap like others you may know.
Well, about 20 minutes later, my doorbell rings. Who is it? Yep, the pizza delivery guy. He hands me a paper bag and says he was sorry. I laughed at him and said not to worry about it but thanks anyway.
So, I close the door. I am like, "there must be a lot of pepper flakes in here because this bag is heavy".
I go to the kitchen. Open the bag.
It had about (25) PAPER PLATES in it!
Pepper Flakes...Paper Plates...
At least the driver came back...
Have a great day!!

From CNN.Com:
CENTRAL ISLIP, New York (AP) --
Christie Brinkley's Long Island divorce trial has been put on hold -- and the
model says she's praying for a settlement.
Christie Brinkley has
been embroiled in a divorce trial with husband Peter Cook.
Lawyers declined to comment on the record Wednesday.
However, Brinkley was asked while leaving the courthouse if
a settlement is in the works. She pressed her palms together as in prayer and
replied: "It's what I hope and pray for."
The former Sports Illustrated model was married to architect
Peter Cook for a decade before his affair with a teenager vaulted their troubles
into the public light in 2006.
Good for you, "uptown girl"!!
Can't wait to see the outcome of this...Maybe God will give her and her children the life they deserve!
I am rooting for her!!

Front Page on MyFoxDFW:
Coppell police said a father found his 3-year-old son and 1-year-old
daughter at the bottom of the family's swimming pool Tuesday evening at
their home in the 100 block of Trinity Court.
The
father was at home with the children when he realized that the kids
were not around, according to a Coppell city spokeswoman.
When he found the children in the pool, he pulled them out and started life-saving measures.
Marcus Stocco drowned. His sister, Catherine Stocco, was taken to a hospital but she has died.
The case has been forwarded to the Coppell Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division.
Absolutely nothing more to say here...

Good Afternoon Folks,
I saw on another website that our friend John Hammarley has been suspended by the station.
Makes me wonder what one can do to get that type of punishment in the news business.
Sorry to hear about your plight, Hammar!! Hurry back!!
In the meantime, don't be surprised if they will fill your spot with Mr. Deal or Dud pitching flip flops or something really useful like an automatic potato peeler.

No TM, this isn't a dedication. Although I am sure just me mentioning you would make it that way, huh?
OK, maybe this is for you. But, it's also a public service announcement for everyone to consider before they go yapping out their fingers about another person's character in here or anywhere for that matter. And especially if your goal is to get sway other's opinions about that specific person.
Libel
"An untruthful statement about a person, published in writing or through
broadcast media, that injures the person's reputation or standing in
the community. Because libel is a tort (a civil wrong), the injured person can bring a lawsuit against the person who made the false statement. Libel is a form of defamation, as is slander (an untruthful statement that is spoken, but not published in writing or broadcast through the media)."
Would a court of law say this is a "community"? I don't know. We all congregate here and share feelings and information. People are impressionable as well and can be swayed into thinking one way or another.
No, I am not suing anyone.
o o O (how much do trailers go for these days anyway?)
I am trying to make a point.
Just be careful what you type. It could certainly come back and bite you on the ass one day.
Coming in here and calling someone an idiot is one thing.
Coming in here and accusing that person of being a hateful bigot, and in the process trying to get people against him, is another.

Good Morning,
Hope everyone had a good evening...
Little rant here...
So, who now owns the trademark on the words "Fourth of July"?
Has anyone else noticed the GM ads on TV and radio saying "Great American Holiday" instead of "Fourth of July"?
I mean hell, it's bad enough you can't say "Super Bowl" anymore and have to call it "The Big Game".
This is crazy!!
Am I the only one who has noticed these ads?

Good Morning,
Hope everyone had a good evening...
I am a bit of a numbers guy, you know from counting all my millions of dollars made selling copiers, toner and bogus service plans.
(SMILE)
Anyhow, I came across this website that has a pretty cool math trick. I did it like five times and it worked every time.
Let me know what you think...
