What will the Lakers do?

Hey Everyone....

 

 We are back talking sports and now that the NBA Draft is over time for us to play NBA General Manager.  What did you think of the Lakers pick?  FOr the second year in a row they've taken a point guard....and the Garnett trade that wasn't seems to be falling by the wayside so at the end of the day it looks like Kobe isn't getting what he wants and that is to win RIGHT NOW!  So what about the Clippers?  They, by all accounts, got one hell of a player oin Al Thornton with the 13th pick....they need to get better in a hurry fast because they are old and injured...who do you think came out a winner in the draft?  Besides Portland and Seattle (Oden and Durant) and who do you think laid a big old goose egg?  Let's talk NBA Baby...HOLLA!!!

 By the way...BIg ups to Nick Young to the Washington Wizards....covered this kid throughout the NCAA tourney and have to admit just became so fond of him...much luck to him and his family on the next level.

i couldn't care less about the nba draft.i didn't even brother watching it.most of the draft choices are either going to a bust or gone from the nba with in 5 years.

Nischelle, i think you are a great reporter. You are always so cheerfull and professional in your reports. It also does'nt hurt that you are real pretty too!

The Laker's current situation reminds me of the Chicago Bulls when Jerry Krause made major changes to the team. We loved Michael, Scotty & Company and we didn't like what he did. Unfortunately, many veterans didn't like it either and did not want any part of the Bulls. It took them a long time to recover; which, probably didn't happen until Krause left. Now having said that, I wonder if anybody is interested in playing for "showtime." If ESPN's report is accurate, it sounds like Kevin Garnett wants to play for Phoenix. Until 3 or 4 years ago, there was a time when the opportunity to play for the Lakers was worth taking a paycut. Not anymore. I do not understand the decision to pick guards in the draft but hopefully it will work out in the end. And that may not happen until they make management changes first.

Hey Nischelle I am sorry to see how things are going for the lakers since I have been a fan for all my life I hope they can get it together soon.They really need Koby to stay.Also Nischelle you are such a rising star on reporting please keep that winning smile and energy you have that no one displays like you.You remind me of a family member.You go lady and keep on doing what you do best.Take care.

The Lakers man there gonna have to find that balance there so called.......... "Happy Place" Ha ha lol
As of course Bob Barker and Adam Sandler could show them how !!!!
Nichelle you look great as always slow down a bit though and take good care of your self.

hey everyone...

i have a feeling there is going to be NO JOY in lakerland this fall. I don't think they have any pieces that other teams want in order to trade and I'mnot sure Jerry Buss wants to spend over the luxury tax..we'll see very soon. Thanks everyone for the comments...i like feeling "like family" unless you are the wierd uncle!!!

Nischelle,

I noticed the Lakers re-signed Luke Walton, and are making a push for Steve Blake. Although Blake would be a little bit of an upgrade, most of the other teams in the West have improved more than that, and I can't see the Lakers making the playoffs next year.

heres a great idea let the lakers move back to minnisota .the clippers to buffalo ..and the dodgers back to brooklyn..and the kings ..well who cares anyway ..and lets become a pro sports free town just a host to all the championship games ..after all if your not a winner why show up ..dodger dogs are cheaper at ralphs and i can serve them hot..

Hey Everyone...

Happy Fourth of July...

So Let's talk a little Laker's then get into everything else. I was glad to see the alkers sign Luke Walton back he is a good piece tothe puzzle but what I'm even more interested in is this Derek Fisher deal. Give him props for potentially sacraficing a lot of money for the sake of his daughter. Fish is leaving the Utah Jazz and wants to move to a city that his daughter (who has eye cancer) can getthe best care. One of the places he istargeting is Los Angeles..and now it seems the Lakers are interested...that would be great forthe franchise. Let's seeif it happens...I know he and Kobe are good friends and I know he would like to play here again.

Now...media...I was just joking with the wierd uncle comment...I have a goofy sense of humor you'll figure that out!

Ty--I get my hair done by a lady named Valarie Harrell...she is FANTASTIC! She's in the valley. She does a lot of the black actresses in town. Very loyal and very good. I tell her people ask me about my hair all thetime...she needs to put out her own product line. I can tell you someof the products she usesare Kim Kimbles..the lady that does Beyonce..Kelly Rowland and others and she really likes them. Kim does have a hair care line out!

Nischelle came to FOX 11 in September of 2004 and in January of 2005 became a permanent member of Good Day LA. In August of 2005 Nischelle returned to New Orleans to report on Hurricane Katrina. It was during those 14 days covering the aftermath of the storm that changed Nischelle forever. Not only did she experience personal and professional tragedy, she also saw a growth in the human spirit that will never leave her. Nischelle won numerous awards for her reporting during the storm including the California Junior Chamber of Commerce's "Outstanding Young Californian" Award.
