Hey everyone...glad to be back blogging!  Been gone for a little while I had a family emergency and was out of pocket for about a week but now I am back and ready to tak to you guys....everyone is blogging about Paris so I am going to ignore it even though I have been on Paris watch for a very longtime..let's talk guilty pleasures okay?  It's summer and during the summer I like to catch up on my reading and get into some new mindless tv that I can just get lost in so here is my summer guilty pleasure list for 2007:

1.  just finished "Lisptick Jungle" by Candice Bushnell....Loved it!  I am such a fan of hers from Sex and the City and it just got better for me with this book.

2. got caught up in the Debra Messing mini-series "The Starter Wife" men...this one not for you really but ladies thisis really delicious!  So funny and just fun to watch.

3.  Hell's Kitchen and "So You Think You Can Dance"--both of these shows areon FOX and they are really good.  Both are mid-season replacements and have me hooked.  I watched so you think you can dance form the beginning because I love dance but I really gotinto in last season...and started back taking dance classes because of it.  Hell's kitchen is my stress reliever..so damn good that Gordon Ramsey!  Watch these shows they are my guilty pleasures.

4. All I have to say is Vincent Chase and the gang return on Sunday!

So those are my summer guilty pleasures what are yours?  Maybe I will get some good ideas.  Let's talk.  Holla!!!

i don't really watch tv nischelle. i only watch the news, wrestling,and ufc. as for books...i'm working on a few. these are the books i'm reading right now.

as for guilty pleasures. well i'm up to no good for the rest of the month. gonna go to vegas next week. i heard about a place where they make fresh donuts by the hour, and the girls are topless. it seems odd, but if it's true, then i gotta check it out. the following weekend i'm going to see the 69 eyes. they are great live, and i can't wait to see them again.

I also really like the starter wife. can you tell me what night it is on? I watched the first one but my memory fails me at times.
As far as reading goes I only really get to that when we go camping then I grab my several weeks worth of People magazine and read from cover to cover, and I've been reading a book my son bought on all the ways people die.
Its not all gore or anything like that it just is a compiled book with stuff from car accidents, getting struck by lightening because of the wire in your bra, safest days of the week, and so on. I am somewhere in the chapter G. It ges from A to Z.
Please I would appreciate it if you can tell me what night Starter Wife will be on.
Now the Soprano's are over I will need my weekly fix.

i like to watch

NINJA WARRIOR ON G4 channel if you want to laugh and and see some crazy people do these crazy obstical courses then this is the show. has anyone else seen it?

My Husband and i go to the dodger game at least twice a week. we have had a lot of dodger dogs (yummm). i am going to the grand canyon in mid summer. i have an idea we should all leave work and go to the beach what do you guys say lol :)

Glad that your back Nischelle!Hope that all is well with the family,and if not things will turn out to be alright. Yea you have been on Paris watch in a real way!Wow the craziness....
Not too much t.v. watching over here,besides the news! But it's almost summertime,to be out and about,going to concerts movies ect.You know Beyonce going to be at the Staple center on Sept. 2 nd.Gotta cop that one,and Mary's gonna be at the San Manuel bingo casino July 12 th. gotta see the ladies of R&B when they come into town,so for me t.v's a wrap! I've tried to get into ,so you think you can dance,but it was'nt really popin for me!

Hey, Nichi!! I turned a co-worker on to Starter Wife; she LOVES it (it's on Thursday nights)! I, too, have been inspired to get back into dance, but for me it was "Dancing With The Stars" that did it for me! My guilty pleasures... I have been watching tabloid t.v. like Access Hollywood lately!! As if I don't get enough from Dorothy in the mornings, and the blogs during the day...! :)

havent been able to contact you for a while. we have some new clothing I'd like to have you try. We are also offering Paris our full line of clothing and the body care if she wears it in the first 2 weeks after gettig released - a one up on chip and pepper).

Hey Everyone!

thornyone--starter wife is on thursday nights...if you have'nt seen it since the first one you've missed a couple but I'm sure they will replay all episodes at one point.

ruchelle--I am going to use one of your guilty pleasures this summer and head back to the ball park....sounds so inviting sitting at Dodger Stadium eating a Dodger dog watching the game...maybe we will be there the same day.

cee- I will not be missing the Beyonce concert on September 2nd....I adore her and Robin Thicke...it will be a great time! and OMG I sounded so incredible country it wasn't even funny! How embarrassing! No one told me! LOL!

ddain--I have a theory...I think the Jermaine O'neal and Ron Artest trades are gonna fall through and there is gonna be some DRAMA going on in Lakerland this summer...better than my guilty pleasure tv...just wait!

travis--I think it's Travis right? Good to hear from you! Sure I contact you...I absolutely love your line...anyone on hear who loves to smell good and have soft skin try travertinespa products....go on the website to get more info but I really dig the stuff!

BTW....I am now reading "The Nanny Diaries"..so good and GREAT summer read!

Hi Nischelle,

I've been watching old Spike Lee Movies. I think I have almost everyone he has ever made. Don't ask me why I'm having a Spike Lee marathon.lol Do you have a favorite Spike Lee movie?

I've also been watching a lot Dodger baseball. I was at the game Friday and Saturday. The Stadium was rocking!

Finally, I've been busy working on another op-ed piece for USA Today Newspaper and finishing the last few chapters of a book I've been working on for the last three years.

ok...no offense but the shows you mentioned sucked! Thumbs down...even Entourage sucked.

Hey, do you think anyone really wants to come and play with Kobe? No one wants to play with that dude....he's a ball-hog and a backstabber. Not a good look for the Lake show....

Hey Everyone....

jim---I do have a fav Spike Lee movie...like a lot of them (Mo' Better Blues, Jungle Fever, Do the Right Thing, Malcom X, Inside Man) but my ALLTIME fav is School Daze without a doubt! Can't get enough of that movie.

rabid--what do you mean entourage sucks? what tha'!? Gotta take issue with you on that one buddy! :) you know I do think people want to come play with Kobe and we've seen evidence of that all season and the Lakers did not get those trades done. Baron Davis, Jason Kidd, and Ron Atrest all wanted to come play here and for one reason or another the management did not get those things done....do I think Kobe has an image problem (Colorado) that a lot of people will never get over? Yes. And no matter what he does that won;t change...it doesn't help that he is acting like a bit of a whiner now even though see his point.

bl--a little tired of Paris and her antics too...but it does give us something to talk about....I actually prefer that anyday over the city's latest murder...you know?

Get ready...BET Awards in a week....I am pumped!!!!

Nischelle,

I enjoyed "School Daze" too. Manily because Spike gave my frat (Alpha Phi Alpha) a little cameo apperance. lol "Malcolm X" and "Crooklyn" are my favorite Lee movies.

Nischelle came to FOX 11 in September of 2004 and in January of 2005 became a permanent member of Good Day LA. In August of 2005 Nischelle returned to New Orleans to report on Hurricane Katrina. It was during those 14 days covering the aftermath of the storm that changed Nischelle forever. Not only did she experience personal and professional tragedy, she also saw a growth in the human spirit that will never leave her. Nischelle won numerous awards for her reporting during the storm including the California Junior Chamber of Commerce's "Outstanding Young Californian" Award.
