Dear Elizabeth,
I give you an "A" for effort. You do well as a english reporter, but as a spanish anchor....."Hijo de la tiznada" "Que,que?" If it's not broke - don't fix! Your S.A.P translator's due a great job. If I want spanish there's Univision, Telemundo, Azteca, Canal 22, and 62.
Also, you'r spanish delivery is off. The translated terminology you use is not right most of the time. Some things can not be directly translated word for word. Your spanish pronunciations are a little to over corrected (fake). Let me explain. Instead of Maa-le-boo, just say Malibu. You dont have to waive your spanish wond on every word. Remember, no matter how hard you try you still have an accent. Although you have great spanish speaking ability, your still a "POCHA". Old School latino's like our parent's or grand folks will respect you more for being yourself, and not someone trying so hard to be "Marthala" or "Christina".
Finally, If FOX 11 want's a spanish version of segments they do in the morning, I suggest buying channel 22 or 62 and creating a spanish sister station. KNBC did, and it's working for them. 22 and 62 are within reasonable ($$$) reach. Rupert Murdoc could buy these station's with the change he find's in his sofa. That's if his wife doesn't find it first.
Thank you for you attention,
