I would like to know why Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are not sitting in jail for contributing to this mess. I can just see the headlines or lead story on MSNBC now "Dodd & Frank Save The Country".

It's not too late. If he's not on the ballot, write him in. When he wins I doubt he'll say no to serving.

California got 91k calls. 85k against the bailout. Didn't matter one darn bit did it? Senators offices flooded w/NO's didn't make one bit of difference.

Hey, at least it's out in the open now. WePeeps opinions don't mean squat. In case there was lingering doubt.

I guess we will find out today if the "will of the people" truly means something or nothing. I for one call my US representatives office and told them not to vote for any type of bailout. I couldnt get thru to either senators office as the phones were constantly busy. This mess we are encountering is as a direct result not only of political and governmental mismanagement but of simple outright greed and poor financial decisions from individuals right up to the banking and lending industries and overvaluing of the stock market. I for one do not want to pay or reward anyone for their poor financial decisions which is just what this "rescue or bailout" is. It will saddle our grandchildrens, grandchildren with a bazillion dollars in debt. Is there such a thing as a bazillion?? Anyway, If I make a bad financial decision or choose to live above my means I suffer the consequences. No one bails me out. If Wall St. and poor banking practices suffer, there will be pain but it is not the end of the world as many would like you to believe, hence this massive "rescue" I simply say to you politicians out there. If you vote against the will of the people, I for one will absolutely vote against you, no matter the party when you come up for re-election. Aren't there any regular people out there that have common sense to run for office and then keep their integrity and actually vote the will of the people??

why blame obama? this happened on bush's watch. he's the loser here.

This is Palin's one shot. If she doesn't make it to VP this year, she probably won't be in the national spotlight for some time, if ever again. I might also argue that this year was probably Hillary's last shot for the White House too.

Definitely Hillarys last shot. And sorry for Palin but shes running on a losing ticket. McCain is changing his Depends
