The top 24 battle it out on a special three day 'American Idol.' On Tuesday, February 19th, the boys go head to head, and on Wednesday, February 20th, it's all about the girls. On Thursday, February 21st, someone is going home.

Simon was correct, most of the top 12 guys did not stand out tonight...they were indeed, forgettable. The ones who stood out and will be remembered are David Archuleta, Jason Castro and Michael Johns. I hope the top 12 girls do better tomorrow.

One contestant I noticed with plenty of talent is David Archuleta. I suspect that many viewers will likely vote for him, if he keeps working hard. On a side note, he resembles Fox 11's Rick Dickert, so Rick, if you're awake by chance, you have competition ahead of you! I cn't wait for tomorrow when the ladies are up!

Okay... I got lots to say so I'll condense it. First, why is there a theme so early on? let the contestants really show their talent singing their own choice so we can vote on them and what they do. Second, why is Ryan blaming the judges for selecting bad singers if the contestants are getting nervous on the big stage... its not their fault and he needs to stop picking fights. Lastly, in the first couple weeks, people should not sing a slow song. It almost never turns out good for them.

Now for tonight's episode with the women, I will say one thing: the flu has affected the performances for tonight. I thought that Simon hit the marks with his comments, though he may have been a bit rough at times. I did think the one Filipina gal did a great job, and will probably be in the top 6 if she keeps her game up. She will give the guys a run for the money!

I was disappointed to see Joanne go home so soon although with the other 3 America got it right. Simon was correct with his remarks but he could have a put a little sugar on it.

Paula and Randy did a good job with the song and the video.

I personally appreciate it when Simon is honest, even brutally so. Thats what made him a successful producer in the first place. If you can't stand the heat, stay out from under the stage lights.
