I have been on hold for over an hour trying to donate and no one is answering. The website is down to donate as well.... I can't wait much longer on hold. They should have been better prepared for this.....

American Idol doesn't care about starving people, or you, or anyone else. All it cares about it money money money. American Idol is a multi-million$ show, and if they cared so much about people, why don't they give out some of their own money instead of asking for hand outs? Get a grip America. Quit eating up this mindless garbage.

"the best show i have seen in long time i did a lot of crying and had no idea of the conditions here in the us please give if you havent good job fox and idol great line up of guest" How old are you? So you only started caring cuz American Idol told you to? Your ignorance disgusts me.

Finally a reality show who cares and gives back to those in need! Great performances and a strong message sent to those who are fortunate enough to make a donation in the comfort of their home. I've made my donation! Spread the love! Make a donation!

Can anyone GUESS (that's right, guess because you'll never know the truth) at the amount of $$$$$ that will actually go toward these POOR people they show???? I bet you that the only people jumping up with joy right now are the organizers themselves...because they will all have a few percent of the 30million $$$$ so far. Has anyone done any research on where all the money goes???? Find out before you give...BTW, when the lotto was started here in the US, they said that a portion would go to help the schools...well, I don't know about you, but the schools haven't seen much of that money because they are in worse shape ever! any comments?

We were lucky enough to be at the Disney Concert Hall and the acoustics were fantastic! Every performer did well, but my particular favorite was the wonderful Josh Groban and his terrific, heart-warming African chorus. I'm grateful to IDOL for making us all aware of the terrible problems here in the States and in Africa. I wish I could adopt every one of those kids! Also, a big thanks to the sponsors. Corporations often get a bad rap, so it's great to see these sponsors getting involved in such a worthy cause. Donate to IDOL. I know I'll also be supporting these sponsors. Thanks!!

What a blatant use of commercialism last night to supposedly "promote" hunger in the world when in reality it was used as a platform to plug their sponsors and bilk more people into watching and make MORE money for their sponsors and subsequently Simon, Randy and Paula asking for $$$$ based on the viewership. This, at the expense of the fans and especially the contestants. Those poor kids last night having to sit on pins and needles only to be told at the last minute that because of the "charity" aspect and oh no, not viewership, this wouldn't be an elimination round. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will NEVER watch that program again

I thought it was very unkind the way they held Jordin until the very end, implying that she was going home. Then Ryan said no one was going home. Jordin had the absolute best performance the night before, and she must have been heartbroken to think that she the one leaving. If they had done it to Chris instead, it wouldn't have been so heartless since he has been at the bottom for a couple of weeks now. He would have just felt relief that he was staying.

I enjoyed the show, regardless of what the negative people have posted. The truth of the matter is the world is in need, and sometimes we need a wake up call.Would it hurt to give up that cup of starbucks coffee to save a life?
I'm thankful for the blessings in my life, this just reminded me just how much.

Just exactly what did American Idol give back!

The real performers performed for free!!!
Ford and Coke paid the freight.

The public donated money, no money came from the producers, owners, and all others with interest in this plastic show!
Let's see how much of the 20-30 million dollars ??? actually goes to where you people say it will go ?, after expenses, fees - bla bla bla, what a scam!
It's just another two nights of "ANYTHING FOR BUCK" milked, drawn out, beat to death - hours for the British moneygrubbers.

American Idol = Fast food music, anything for buck, bad for TV, bad for the real music business.

After Nigel Lythgoe, Simon cowell, and all involved with this piece of [...] show have lined their pockets with millions, bamboozle the American public with this facade of giving back!

Shame on you.

Amen!!! BTW< That was my question too; exactly "WHAT" is American Idol giving back? and "WHAT" percentage is going to the cause, because, Jonpublic said the only thing that makes any sense with all this PUBLICITY...they are soooooooo fake! Don't get me wrong, I loved American Idol--up to the point where I saw that it was no longer a singing competition, because they were milking Sanjaya along (poor fool). And last night topped it off! They are taking advantage of you all. If you want to see poverty, all you have to do is go downtown in any city...We have Los Angeles filled with homeless people, and THAT is what gets me mad...You want to help out? Then look in your own town and start from there! You don't need millionaires telling you where to donate your money!
