As the season winds down and kids head back to school, the garage sales will decrease..

I love garage sales and I'm going to miss the summer sales season.

So tell me, what's the best thing you've ever found at a garage sale? I got a nearly brand-new car seat for $5. Yes! $5. I got it during the tri-city sale in Brentwood (and those other two cities nearby)!

What's your best yard sale/garage sale find?

Well you will always have the resale shops to tide you over through the Winter.....

Some of my nicest clothes come from goodwill....

Some of the best things I've found at garage sales have been two lap blankets, a black and white rose picture which i got for 2 dollars, and some bear knick knacks (collect bears)

Well I don't know about garage sale finds, but I used FOX 2's GarageSaleSTL.com web site and walked away with $720 in sales! That was the only promotion/publicity I had, and it was huge! Thanks FOX 2!

I got a classic Rudyard Kipling book titled “KIM” with a copy right date of 1928 for 50 cents. The hard cover shows no writing at all only a “Swastika” embossed on the front cover. I got a fishing tackle box with old balsa wood lures for $5. A set of 5 Jim Reeves religious LPs for $1.

Most of what I buy are books but I will keep my eyes open for most anything.

Well I love stuff animals and I saw this realy cuit kitty it was only 25 cents..It was old and made out of something called mohair..
Found out it was worth over $40.00...

Another time I found at a flea market this realy cool box and inside was few coins..I asked the man how much for the box,he said $1.00..I said i take it and told him there was some change inside..He looked and said you can have it..I thanked him took the box to daddy who collect and sells coins..Well it ended up the 2 dimes and quarter and 3 nickles was worth more than $25.00,I still have the box..

Then there was this big huge old matirle thing with curcis clowns animals and performors on it,the size would cover the whole side of a small 3 bedroom home..That give ya idea how big it was and it was heavy.I got dad and showed him and we got it for $25.00 sold it for $550.00 no kidding..

But the very best thing I ever got at a garage sale was my dog Sky.. He was free and I loved that little guy..He had cancuer years later and had to be put down..But it was the best find at a grage sale I ever got...

Go to Yard Sales all the time. Our best find was on Craigslist though...We bought a John Boos Butcher block table for $50! When we looked it up on the website it's worth over $1000.00.
