It is obviously a true fact of life that people with limited income and resources need to purchase an older car, many with high mileage. I fully agree that 60% interest on a car loan is criminal, and the way these folks were treated on the video was nasty. The words "as-is" tho, mean EXACTLY that, AS IS. That part is also a fact of life. I do not believe that a government at any level has the authority to legislate this issue. It would be impossible to have the government protect every aspect of our lives so that we can walk down the street and count the butterflies and rainbows. You would then be a robot with no need to think for yourself. Life is full of risks, no matter what your economic situation. That also is a fact of life.

We recently have been to Volenteers of America in Columbus ohio, where people donate their car and you get to bid on the car up for aution. Every sat. 10-1:pm or until all the cars are gone. seen a lot of good cars. 2003 ram dodge car 3/4 ton pick up in nice condition went for $1600.00, mustang 2004 $1,100.00, 1998 cadiallic catera $1,100.00. you drive it off the lot and they give you thrity day tag. When you aution off and bid on it you have to give $100.00 at the time when you have the bid. If you do not pay the $100.00 they will not go on or they have to reaution the car. Pretty interesting. Older cars, 1975 mercedes white, red interior, mint conditon $625.00 the lady drove it off the lot. I do understand what your talking about the interest rate. Stay away from buy here pay here, JD Byrider. Horrible!!!!!!!!!
