 What would happen if the 'father' forces the woman to go ahead with the pregnancy then takes off.  What if there are complications with the pregnancy and the woman may die? Is she still going to be FORCED to do as the MAN says and carry on with the pregnancy?  What if the complications make it so the woman can't work during her pregnancy? I've known women that had to be on very strict bed rest for months.  Is the 'father' going to then be forced to pay for her living expenses? I was only on strict bed rest for about 2 weeks due to premature labor. But I have another child that was young at the time. If the woman has any other children who would take care of them? I had my husband, but some  woman don't have anyone.  

 Is the 'father' also going to then pay for all prenatal care and the hospital bills after? I doubt that ! Look at all the deadbeats out there. I think this will just make more of them and put more people on an already over strained system.  And I'm not saying there aren't deadbeat mothers out there, because we know there are. 

 Look at the 'mother' that has 4 kids and they found what... 4 more fetuses buried  in her yard, trailor and under the bathroom sink ( I think that's what I heard in one report).  Do we really want more of these things happening? I think it would happen more if some women are FORCED by the man.  Or like others have said there will be the back alley abortions.

 One last thing... What's next?  Right now a woman/girl can hand over her baby to say a hospital, fireman/womam etc. and the baby will be taken care of and placed up for adoption. IF this new law goes into effect does a woman still have this right?  Or is that taken away from woman too?

If I'm not mistaken the biggest argument here is that a man that says he does not want a child and thinks a woman should abort, has no rights as far as whether or not he will have to pay for a child he doesn't want. I say the lesson which needs to be taught here is that CHILDREN COME FROM HAVING SEX !! Keep it in your pants or deal with the results. On the lighter side, my father told me just after I had my third and last child, " if you keep it up you are going to screw yourself out of a seat in the car" !
Its just further proof that many in our society don't want to except the responsibility of their actions. Child support is something paid whether you are married or not, because even if you are married, you support your children! If you aren't, you support your children.
The other side of this is a man that wants the child and the woman doesn't. She has the right to abort without consent of the father. This is where I say find out who you are laying down with before hand. If you don't believe in it, you shouldn't lay down with someone who doesn't feel the same.

I think you're right. Each needs to know who they're going to bed with. And PROTECTION for BOTH!

Check out your local Shelter, Humane Society and APL for Beautiful animals like the one in my avatar! That's Chance our three legged Chow mix we adopted 2 1/2 years ago from the Lake County Humane Society! He gets along Great with our 4 indoor ONLY fixed cats ; ) and is a very well behaved dog. I'm glad his previous owner didn't want him anymore, 'cuz now WE got him! And Love him to pieces and he has the home he should have from the start. All our cats were DumpOffs as well. They too have their forever homes and are spoiled rotten! Also Huge Thanks to Dick Goddard for all you do for the animals! They have no voice of their own and you give that to them. And for those who have never met Dick he is just the sweetest person even off camera. Keep up the Great work Dick, they depend on people like you for their lives! ** UPDATE We Now have 5 cats. Someone dumped a kitten and her littermates at a Nursery in Perry and a worker told us it happens all the time. At least one kitten has a Loving, Happy Forever Home. I have an idea Get Your Cat Fixed and stop DUMPING the unwanted kittens. Our new addition is worth each and every dollar we're spending to get her Healthy. To whomever dumped her,I'm glad she didn't have to grow up in a home like yours. Thanks Humane Society Volunteer
