Why are the other News stations reporting the updated news about this and not Fox 8 News?  I've listened this morning and have heard nothing when the story comes on.

Magistrate Laura Williams arraigned sixteen juveniles on the same day as Juan Ruiz. The BIG difference was that some of those juveniles were sent to the juvenile detention center. Eleven out of the 16!  If there was room for these others why was there not room for him???

Here's a few that were sent there ...One was charged with robbery, with no weapon and three were charged with minor driving violiatons. MINOR Driving Voilations?! What the heck. She sends 3 for that but somehow Juan Ruiz didn't "score high enough" to be considered? Some were serious felonies, like robbery or assault with a weapon but one was charged with receiving stolen property. How is that more serious than attemped Rape with a weapon after breaking and entering?

The break down of the 11

6 were charged with serious felonies (robbery or assault  with a weapon)

1 charged with receiving stolen property

1 charged with robbery (no weapon)

3  charged with MINOR DRIVING VIOLATIONS

Why isn't Fox 8 covering this? Just wondering.

They did yesterday. I saw on the news about her sending the one kid that recieved stolen property to DH. They were hammering her pretty good.

I'm glad they hammered her then. I wasn't able to catch much of the new yesterday. Between dinner and homework I guess we missed it. I guess I thought they would have added part of it to the story today. But Thanks for letting me know. I'm just so stunned and sickened by this news.

Motox - on newsnet5, they had a blurb on there that Williams is no longer permitted to make decisions about or handle juvenile cases. See my recent blog Update - Magistrate Williams. Go to www.wews.com to see story.

Three were sent to DH for minor driving violations!!! You got to be kidding me. She needs to be fired. A magistrate with this faulty decision making should not be in that position

Clevebtch I just read that on another Blog here. That's Great News! I would like to hear her comment on why she sent some of the ones she did. I mean how can a minor driving violation "score" higher than rape/attempted rape with a knife? I just don't get it. But anyway I'm glad to hear this!

That's Chance our three legged Chow mix we adopted 2 1/2 years ago from the Lake County Humane Society! He gets along Great with our 4 indoor ONLY fixed cats ; ) and is a very well behaved dog. I'm glad his previous owner didn't want him anymore, 'cuz now WE got him! And Love him to pieces and he has the home he should have from the start. All our cats were DumpOffs as well. They too have their forever homes and are spoiled rotten! Also Huge Thanks to Dick Goddard for all you do for the animals! They have no voice of their own and you give that to them. And for those who have never met Dick he is just the sweetest person even off camera. Keep up the Great work Dick, they depend on people like you for their lives! ** UPDATE We Now have 5 cats. Someone dumped a kitten and her littermates at a Nursery in Perry and a worker told us it happens all the time. At least one kitten has a Loving, Happy Forever Home. I have an idea Get Your Cat Fixed and stop DUMPING the unwanted kittens. Our new addition is worth each and every dollar we're spending to get her Healthy. To whomever dumped her,I'm glad she didn't have to grow up in a home like yours. Thanks Humane Society Volunteer
