Can we please get some additional coverage of  this?

"The blaze was located in Cheney's suite of ceremonial offices. His working office is in the West Wing. Secret Service spokesman Darrin Blackford said the building was evacuated as a precaution. District of Columbia firefighters poured water on the blaze, broke windows and moved furniture onto a balcony.

There were no reports of serious injuries, Etter said. A U.S. Marine stationed at the building smashed a fifth-floor window to escape from the smoke and had to be rescued from the ledge, he said. The man suffered a minor cut to his hand.

The building remained evacuated while firefighters ventilated the smoke, Etter said. The displaced employees were sent to other offices or went home.

The extent of water, fire and smoke damage was unclear.

Investigators were working to determine the cause of the blaze, Etter said. The smoke appeared to come from an electrical closet on the building's second floor."

Yeah right.

huh, interesting. Hadn't heard of it. But did you know Brittany’s little sister's having a baby? Yep. That crap I heard over and over and over....I think I saw a picture of the 12 week embryo at some point.
But anyways, why do you say yeah right? What other possible explanation could there possibly be?

Hi Dasvics. That is exactly what I would like to know. Seems odd. Maybe the shredder jammed?

And....after his shredder jammed, he panicked, so he thought lighting a fire in the office trash can would solve that problem.

I'm totally kidding, politicians would never.

:-)

I remember when Oliver North was in front of Congress. Someone asked him "Why were you shredding..." He answered that the government had issued him the shredder. Silly congressman!

Well, at least he stuck to shredding, as opposed to burning, and as far as we know, he hasn't caused any "accidental fires" that end up costing US money because we're the ones that end up paying for all the "renovations". My husband works hard to support his family gosh diddly darn it! Stop wasting our money on silly "accidents" be careful and constructive with it, for once. Silly government is right. We could get more laughs out of them than any comedian.
Here’s an idea for a reality show: “Mishaps at the White House” or “Hanging with the Senators” or “The Real Life, In Washington D.C.” I might actually tune in and watch MTV.
