First, I am going to start and say that the information on Mars to so plentiful, that I cannot cover the whole topic.  I will however, answer any questions regarding this blog to the best of my knowledge.  Also, feel free to post new information that I may not have covered.  The Mars study begins in 1976 when the Viking Orbiter 1 captured what scientists have named “the face on Mars”.  What at first appears to be just a trick of shadow and light, sparks strong interest from those who are looking for life on Mars.

After detailed analysis, the majority of scientist say the statistics of this sculpture being coincidence, is somewhere around 100 billion to one.  Straight lines are seldom seen in nature.  I have learned this from sniper training in the Marines.  What the scientists have done, is computed those straight lines into a statistic program and calculated the chances of those anomalies taken place in the same area.  When straight lines are seen in nature, they are normally only seen from the angle or origin.  When looking at the same target from another angle, the straight line will disappear.  The Viking 1 Orbiter took many photos of the face from many different angles.  The statistical programs calculated the chances of the numerous straight lines being there, and computed the 10,000-1 chance.

In addition to the face, is a series of pyramid looking structures, which resemble the pyramids of Giza, close by.  There is one five sided pyramid (known as the D&M Pyramid) that catches the eye of scientist.  It the largest pyramid there.  Along with the pyramids and the face, photos of the region now known as Cydonia (from ancient Greece) also reveals a glass-like tube, an artificial made crater with steep walls, a t-shaped berm , and a saucer-like structure on the edge of a cliff.

Despite all these theories about Mars and intelligent life, NASA has officially released that there is no evidence remotely showing intelligent life on Mars and all photos shown are nothing more and “tricks of shadow and light (NASA correspondent 1976).  In addition, NASA refuses to go back to those regions to conduct further investigation.

Since NASA is paid by public dollars, and they are on Mars to find life, shouldn’t they take an interest in these photos as well?...especially since the public has interest in it?

Fact:

In 1976, Two Viking Orbiters were sent to take photos of the Cydonia region.  Viking 1 got their first and Viking 2 was on its way.  When photos taken from Viking 1 got back to NASA (10 minute span from Mars to Earth), NASA changed the route from Viking 2, and sent it in the opposite direction.  Previous to the Viking missions, NASA had other missions (Mariners 1-9) sent to Mars and officially stated that they were failed missions and that no photos returned back to Earth.  Years later, the public found that to be untrue.  NASA still states that they have no records of anything from the Mariner Missions.

Many theories about colonialization of Mars and the Moon often use many glass domes.  It is scientifically proven that glass in space is 10 thousand times stronger than steel.  It is the components in our atmosphere that make glass brittle on Earth.
