After hearing some troubling info about Barack Obama and his birth certificate I stumbled upon this site: http://www.conservablogs.com/velvethammer/2008/03/05/w
anted-barack-hussein-obamas-birth-certificate

I read all of the posts and some of the links.  And I'm not naive, I realize that not everything one reads on the internet should be taken as gospel, but very much of the info supplied does hold water.

I have never voted for a republican for president and I’m not sure I will this time. But one thing I am sure of is the fact that there is definitely something “interesting” occurring with the Obama camp’s unwillingness to disclose such pertinent, yet readily available documents. It seems to me that this should really be a simple task to accomplish: supply us, the citizens and voters of The United States of America, with a CERTIFIED, unmodified certificate of birth!! How hard is that?

Perhaps if the tele-prompter told him how to furnish this info properly, this would be a non-discussion.  ;-)

Regardless, I just attempted to sign the petition to get Barry to release the official, unmodified certificate, but was met with a page that no longer exists. So I googled this…. “petition for obama birth certificate”……..and the very first hit from google points to this link…….

http://astuteblogger.blogspot.com/2008/07/birth-ce
rtificate-petition-shut-down-by.html

So I click on the link and I am astonished to find out that the original petitioner has had to remove the petition due to real threats that contained information specific to his address and family!! It is very unfortunate that a simple request for disclosure of info regarding a candidate running for PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES has been met with such animosity and contempt. Unless there is something being hidden, and at this point I suspect there is, one would think that the Obama camp would be more than willing to disclose any information that would back up and corroborate their position that Obama is constitutionally qualified to be the President.

As I stated when I began this comment, I have never voted for a republican for the office of President (in fact my motto for the last eight years has been: “Don’t blame me….I voted for the other guy!”), but if we cannot even get Barry to be honest and straight forward about something as simple as his birth certificate, then how can I trust anything he has said so far? How can I believe that his comdemnation and denouncing of Rev. Wright was not just a put-up job for the media? How can I believe that he is really not a Muslim? (And I’m not saying that if he is a muslim, he can’t be President–I’m saying: he has stated that he is a Christian and not a Muslim, but is he telling the truth?) See how this one simple document (birth certificate)-and all the secrecy behind it- has changed the whole outlook of this election for me? Simply supplying the document and answering the questions with honesty and truth would have made things easier for me……actually, the easiest thing for me would have been for Obama to concede to Hillary, but I digress as I’m sure I just made many people reading my blog sick to their stomach ;-)

At this point, however, even if Barry does supply a legitimate copy or original birth certificate, I think it may be too little too late for me. If he is willing to hide this info-and by going to these great lengths to do so-I am frightened by what he would be willing to hide, and what he would be willing to do to hide whatever he doesn’t want us to know!!!!!!

Of course, this is just my take on things, and I am by no means an authority on the subject.  I just thought I'd share something I found to be interesting!

I just found out that Estelle Getty has died.  She played Sophia Petrillo, the mother of Dorothy Zbornak (Bea Arthur), on the television show "The Golden Girls".  I really loved that show.  It aired from about 1985 until 1992, and was highly accoladed by the television industry, as well as the viewing public.

Picture it, Ohio, 1985......

I remember when I first watched this show, back in the '80's, with my Granny and Papaw.  I was only 8 years old then, but I adored my Granny, and anything that she was "in to", I was "in to" as well.  And she was "in to" the Golden Girls.  Some of the jokes on the show were not appropriate for an 8 year old, and I could see my Granny half laugh at them and half cringe at them, as she hoped I didn't ask what condoms were or what the jokes meant.  I continued to watch the show, and still do to this day.  My Granny has since passed away, but by my watching the Golden Girls, I still feel a sort of connection with my Granny when I watch the show.  I think to myself, "Boy, Granny would've had a hard time explaining that one to me!!"  Or I think, "These ladies remind me of my Granny", and it takes me back to being a kid again sitting there with her laughing and creating memories!

But now, poor Estelle Getty has passed away and I can't help but feel like I've lost a part of my Granny, again.  I know it's foolish to associate a family member with a television show and it's characters, but this is truly one of the greatest times of my life--the time I got to spend with my Granny.

I realize all good things must come to an end, that's just life.  And I realize no one can or will live forever.  But what can live on forever are the memories and feelings of love for a passed family member, friend, loved one or even pet!  It's a matter of how you choose to remember the one you've lost that helps people get over the immediate pain.  And I choose to remember both Estelle Getty and my Granny with a smile on their faces, bringing joy and laughter to others, offering a hug when you're sad, some encouragement when you're down and love when you feel alone in this world.

I never met Estelle Getty, but having watched her for years and years, I feel confident that I can say,

"Thank you for being a friend!!!!"

I find it so annoying that some people use their computer to get on the internet and post a blog without even spell checking their work. I mean come on, you obviously felt strongly enough about a topic to state your opinion, but you don't feel the same desire to make sure your post looks like it wasn't written by a six year old? It's not that hard-believe me, I've done it! And if you have enough sense to use a computer, you ought to have enough sense to use a spell check program or a dictionary...You remember those big books with all the words and their meanings in it, right?

But more annoying than this is when people use words that they aren't even familiar with. For example, I've read numerous blogs that use the word "band" in place of the word "ban". I think that if you want your blog to sound like you know what you're talking about, it would be a good idea to make sure you're using words you understand! (Please refer to the suggested use of a dictionary in the previous paragraph!!)

So in conclusion, I would like to say let's all "band" together to "ban" people from making these unfortunate mistakes!

(see it wasn't that hard to use those words properly!)

All I keep hearing and reading is that "the Browns are horrible, they won't even win 3 games, they need to fire coaches, blah blah blah"!!
And this is stuff being spouted by supposed Browns "fans".

But does anyone remember November 6, 1995? I know I sure do! That's the day Modell announced that he would move OUR Browns to Baltimore. Does anyone who actually is a Browns fan remember the way they felt on that day? I do! I felt like it was the end of the world-at least it seemed like it then. I know many people who thought that since we lost our team, we should root for someone else- either the other team in our state or even someone else in our division. But how could a tried and true loyal Browns fan root for some team like those morons over in Spittsburg? And if I'm just gonna give up and root for someone else, why would I jump on the Bengals bandwagon? Just because they're an Ohio team? Who cares!! I wanted my Browns back!! And it was then that I had an epiphany. It was like a light popped on and I realized something....I would rather watch my Browns lose every game they play, than to root for someone else who might win. Because all I really care about is having a chance and with no team, we had absolutely NO CHANCE. But now we have our Browns back and all anybody can do is belittle them because they're not playoff material. I'm just happy to have OUR team back!
I understand the discontent with the team right now, and it seems that being down on the Browns is somehow the "in" thing to do. But with all the media (local and national) bashing our team, do we as fans really need to add fuel to this fire? The team is just as unhappy as we are, I think they really care about their performance, and I think they genuinely care about the fans. Win or lose, I'm satisfied with just HAVING a team, but I definitely think it's time to quit dogging our DAWGS!!!!

GO BROWNS!! Steeler's Suck!!

LuckyDawg
