Why does it take 24 hours to change my avitar with a picture that it already took 24 hours to approve. Come on! The word "overkill" comes to mind.

The 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines are on American soil. My son and many son's are safe and home. It is a good day and I will sleep like a baby tonight. Please keep all our service men and women in your prayers, those who made it home safe, those still in harms way and those who did not make it back. God bless them and their families.

This is a real way to cure our problems.
Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately; illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida .

Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It's a win-win situation.
+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.
+ Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.
+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.
Any other problems you would like for me to solve today?

Hey, all my blogger friends, for the purpose of entertaining me on my birthday, I thought it would be fun to find out if I have ever photographed one of your beautiful children. I work in schools all over the Metroplex and all over North Texas. I always love feedback, (good or bad) from parents on my work. If you are interested, comment. It does not involve names, or school names to find out: my camera number is printed on the bottom of every sheet ordered and printed, so no security issues. Have a great day!

In the 1950's, even in the 1960's television may well have been a perfectly fine place for children to find role model, but those days are long gone.
Today why would anyone look to Hollywood for role models, it is beyond me.
While you folks are explaining to your young ones about the sensitive issues this has brought up, please include some discussion of what a role model really is and where one should seek out such role models. Please explain to your children that no one is perfect and that people in their life that they look up to may well let them down. Let your children know that their strength should come from within themselves and from their faith, whatever that faith may be.
Television today is a sad substitute for the real world and should rarely, if ever be allowed to guide our youth.
As always, just my humble opinion.
