Pregnancy Cravings

All you parents out there---did you or your significant other have any unusual cravings when pregnant?

A friend of mine wanted onions all the time.

I can't even think of eating onions without getting heartburn.

I crave chocolate and fruit.

With my first, I wanted chips and salsa ALL the time. With my second, it was McD's fish sandwiches and chocolate milk shakes, and with my third, my big thing was potato salad and chocolate milk.
A friend of mine always wanted chicken. Blech!!

You can never go wrong with craving chocolate, Kelly! - LOL

During my first pregnancy, my craving consisted of having a grilled cheese and tomatoe sandwich on a plain bagel, and the cheese had to be yellow American.

Thinking about it, I can't believe I ate one of those EVERY morning!! - LOL

With both of my daughters, I craved fresh fish
sandwiches with cheddar cheese and tomatoes, fresh fruit, and of all things, butternut squash! NeZe, I ate bagels w/ tomatoes and cheese, too!
My daughter has a friend who has been eating sardine, peanutbutter and strawberry jam sandwiches! ( all mixed together) H U R L !!!
I told her, I'll bet she's gonna have a really
hairy baby!

Deb, that craving of your daughter's friend is soooo gross! One time (ONLY) with my first, I fraved salad with a sunny side up egg on top covered with French dressing. We were at Denny's and my hubby and the waitress were horrified! Fortunately, it was the only time I had a gross craving. :)

EEEWWWWW!!! I hate sardines!! - LOL

Weren't those bagels yummy, Deborah? Mmmm, mmm, mmm!!

I don't think I had any 'gross' cravings during either of my two pregnancies. I did have a 'weird' craving with my second one: Watermelon with freshly-squeezed lemon juice, salt and chili powder.

Talk about mixing flavors!! - LOL

First one, no cravings. Second one, I craved ice water, and the third one, it was Diet Dr. Pepper and ice water. No food cravings at all.

I had this thing for Haagen Daaz Chocolate Peanut butter swirl! It was divine! =)

I'm a reporter for FOX 35 News. I moved here January 2006 from cold Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It's been an exciting new adventure. I still feel as if every weekend is a vacation. Beaches, theme parks, pools. It's all new to me. When friends from up north make wise cracks about the hurricanes I remind them of the 20 below temperatures they have to endure every winter. It's so cold reporters have to use markers instead of ballpoint pens when covering an outdoor story because the ink freezes. Ha. I'm happy to be here and excited to cover the news that matters most to you.
