You may have heard that a Florida court ruled this past week that Amendment Five is too vague.  It's a ballot question for voters to consider in the November election.  Some call it the "tax swap' amendment, but a judge said it was too vague.

I voted this week on a Sanford ballot question that proposed a change to the city charter.  The question did not even say what you are voting on- no reference at all to the actual issues at stake.  It just referred to section numbers of the Sanford charter.  The voter has no clue what they are voting on or even what the topic is.  It was stunning to me.

What do you think about vague language on ballot questions?  Do politicians purposely write the questions vaguely to confuse you?  Blog it here.

It's one of the most important joint appearances in the Presidential campaign, and it may turn out to be as important as the Fall debates.  McCain and Obama are talking character, faith and leadership Saturday night at a joint appearance.  They will share the stage and answer questions from Pastor Rick Warren, author of "The Purpose Driven Life."

How important is a Presidential candidate's spirituality or religious convictions to you?  Blog your thoughts here.

Tropical Storm Fay could affect our weather on Tuesday.  It's affecting Haiti right now.  This is Florida's first scare of the 2008 hurricane season.

I was here for the three hurricanes that hit Central Florida in 2004 and I anchored our coverage of those storms.  This is a time to prepare but not panic.  The fact of the matter is that no one really knows where a hurricane or tropical storm will go, until 12 to 24 hours before it comes ashore.  This is a good time for us to pull out the survival kit and make sure we're in good shape.  What are your thoughts on this year's hurricane season?  Blog them here.

Orlando police have assigned a detective to work the Jennifer Kesse missing persons case full time.  She vanished more than two and one half years ago.  More than 950 tips have come in since then, and they've all been entered into a database.

Now a detective will go back over those tips, looking for clues that may have been missed. He will also follow up on new tips from a network TV special that recently aired on the Kesse case.

I think it's commendable that the police are willing to go back to the basics and revisit everything in this case.  What are your thoughts?  Blog them here.

U.S. officials say Russia is using overwhelming military force against Georgia, a nearby independent state.

That force includes strategic bombers and ballistic missiles, and officials say it is disproportionate to any threat from the former Soviet state and could escalate tensions in the volatile region near the province of South Ossetia.

What do you think of this military conflict that seemed to come out of the blue?  Blog it here.

I was driving to the beach the other day, and I pulled out an older U-2 cd, one of their greatest hits collections.  Unbelievably excellent music in my opinion.  I think their lyrics are brilliant separate from the music, and the music is awesome without the words.  Together, you have some of the best rock songs in modern times.

Where do you rank U-2 on your list of favorite rock bands?  Which are your favorite groups?  Blog 'em here.

Is this the end of John Edwards' political career?  The rumors were there, but now he has confirmed he had an affair on his wife in 2006 , while she battled cancer.  There's still talk about whether he is the father of the woman's child.

Did this admission and his lapse in his marriage end his political career?  Do most Americans just accept that politicians cheat?  Edwards probably will not speak at the Democratic National Convention and Elizabeth Edwards is less likely to be a vocal ambassador on healthcare and other issues she cares about.

What are your thoughts on the Edwards affair?  Blog them here.

It's coming down to crunch time for the Presidential candidates.  The time is quickly coming for McCain and Obama to make their VP picks.  There's been talk of a short list on both sides for a couple of months.  Now the lists appear to be shrinking.

Who do you think will be the two picks for VP?  Blog it here.

Florida has had a long running debate over what we should teach our young people at school, when it comes to sex.  Some say we should only teach abstinence to young people.  Others say we should teach safe sex and the use of contraception.

The ACLU will move this week to push the Volusia County School District to teach safe sex and contraception instead of abstinence.  What do you think?  Blog it here.

A national survey shows gas prices have dropped a fraction below the $4-dollar mark.

The average price of regular gasoline at self-serve stations was $3.996 a gallon Friday.  Prices are at their lowest level since May 16 and are an average of 11.7 cents less per gallon than two weeks ago.

Still, the survey showed the average U.S. price for gas is $1.11 higher than it was a year ago.

Do you think gas prices will keep falling?  Will we ever see gas cheaper than 3.50 again?  Blog it here.

Friday night, I interviewed a guy in jail who claims he is Jesus.  He believes he is the spritual reincarnation in mind and spirit, of the Lord.  He was in jail because police say he threatened his mother and two sisters at knife point the night before.  This all happened in Mount Dora.

What do you make of this guy's claims that he's Jesus and he is compelled to spread the word that things prophecized in revelations are coming true.   Blog it here.

Presidential challenger John McCain said Sunday that he supports a proposed ballot initiative in his home state that would prohibit affirmative action policies from state and local governments. A decade ago, he called a similar effort "divisive."

The reversal comes as McCain, a conservative senator from Arizona, seeks to tailor his policies and rhetoric to independent-minded voters who will determine the outcome of November election.

Both McCain and Democratic rival Barack Obama have accused each other --with good reason -- of "flip-flopping," a charge that carries weight with independents who seek consistency and authenticity in their political leaders.

McCain also says today that Barack Obama set a timetable for withdrawing troops from Iraq as a matter of "political expediency to win his party's nomination."

What are your thoughts on this?  Blog them here.
