HELLO MY FRIENDS,
ITS THAT TIME AGAIN….YOU KNOW THE ONE -----“WEIRD NEWS TIME” So this week the odd, strange, funny, offbeat, or crazy, but true news stories in the USA and the world seemed to have a similar theme….animals.
So it got me thinking about the different pets people choose to have! We have done so many stories were people have decided to bring into their homes a pet that many wouldn’t consider the safest animals to live around. I’m talking about anything from cobras to small tigers! What ends up happening is that sometimes when their little friends become adults they end up well acting out on their instincts and their owners have no other choice but to give them up to the zoo. The stories you are about to read talk about the risks people take in order to well be closer to exotic pet!
So here is my question to you…..do you own any exotic animals that you shouldn’t have at home? I personally always have wanted to adopt a marmoset but I fear that he would get into a fight with my little Chihuahua and well as much as I want to give Yugi credit for strength, I have a feeling the little monkey would end up winning. Would love to hear your stories about wild animals, the ones you own or the ones you wish to own!
MADISON POLICE CAPTURE WANTED MONKEY ( THE MONKEY WAS WEARING A WHITE DIAPER)
MADISON, Wis. -
Authorities captured a diaper-wearing monkey who led them on a downtown search after biting a woman. The 20-year-old woman reported being bitten on the thumb as she tried to pet the animal early Wednesday. The woman was walking by State Street Brats, a popular nightclub, where a man had the monkey on a leash inside its beer garden. People walking by were petting the monkey, who was wearing a white diaper. But the monkey bit the woman, who suffered four small punctures on her thumb, police said. The bite sent the woman to the hospital, where a physician said the monkey should be found so that it could be quarantined to determine if it has a disease.

MAN SMUGGLES MONKEY INTO NYC AIRPORT
NEW YORK -
A man smuggled a monkey onto an airplane Tuesday, stashing the furry fist-size primate under his hat until passengers spotted it perched on his ponytail, an airline official said. The monkey escapade began in Lima, Peru, late Monday, when the man boarded a flight to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., said Spirit Airlines spokeswoman Alison Russell. After landing Tuesday morning, the man waited several hours before catching a connecting flight to LaGuardia Airport. During the flight, people around the man noticed that the marmoset, which normally lives in forests and eats fruit and insects, had emerged from underneath his hat, Russell said.
"Other passengers asked the man if he knew he had a monkey on him," she said.

MAN NABBED TRYING TO BRING LIVE REPTILES ON PLANE
CAIRO (AP) — It was very nearly a real-life version of Snakes on a Plane.A man was stopped at Cairo's airport just moments before he boarded a Saudi Arabia-bound plane with carry-on bags filled with live snakes, as well as a few baby crocodiles and chameleons. Security officials became suspicious of the 22-year-old Saudi man's bags when the X-ray machine at the departure gate gave odd readings. Police said they opened the bags and found a large number of reptiles, including at least one cobra, squirming to escape. The animals were confiscated and turned over to the Cairo Zoo and the man was allowed to board his flight home. Transporting live reptiles out of the country is illegal in Egypt, but the passenger said he was unaware of the ban and that the snakes, crocodiles and chameleons were needed by a Saudi university for scientific experiments, police said.
In May, another Saudi man was caught at the Cairo airport carrying 700 live snakes in his carry-on luggage.
