Sometimes my job is pretty cool. Like last week, when I got a chance to cover LA Fashion Week…all 5 nights!

It was a week filled with colorful clothes, celebrity sightings and backstage drama. Bright colors were a big trend for a few fall collections. Eco friendly is in, with designers presenting an interesting mix…from jeans made from bamboo to t-shirts produced from soy. The designer behind Lady Muse is doing her part to save the environment by using recycled fabric.

On the celebrity sightings, Lauren Conrad from “The Hills” debuted her new line of clothes. Paris Hilton sat in the front row for her little sister Nikki’s show. The real drama was backstage, where oil heir Brandon Davis was denied access. I asked him why he was there and he said, “I’m here to gloat”. Not sure what that means, but I heard he and Paris have some sort of history.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, Dr. Dre and Quincy Jones were all backstage for the week’s most-anticipated show – the Pussycat Dolls lingerie show. Actually, it was part fashion show, part concert…with the Dolls playing 5 songs while their creator Robin Antin presented her lingerie collection.

The show was fantastic, and a great finish to an exciting week. And just think; only 7 months until the Spring 2009 collections will be unveiled in LA.

just wondering, might sound dumb, but it's a real question. so shopping for cloths is like shopping for a car? i mean don't they introduce a new line up of cars that the general public can buy the upcoming year? is that how this thing works? but instead they do it for seasons? just wondering.

sounds like you had a great time, and glad that you did. i hope you took lot's of pic's. i would like to see some of your shots.
