Many of you think that we were wrong to go into Iraq because we acted "unilaterally" without getting big brother UN to agree to the move.
One question for those of you that are that naive. Where was your outrage during the Fauklands war?
I had the pleasure of going to Kepleys the other day. My oh my what have I been missing my whole life?
Kepleys is located on Main street in High Point and I would venture to say that they may have the best BBQ I've tasted in 10 years. The history of the place is really neat also so make a day trip out of it.

I dont have HBO at home. I got rid of all those channels. But Im on the road this week and the hotel Im at has it.
I've been watching the John Adams series and it is very good. Just wondering if anyone else is watching it.
I guess that was part of this group's mission. Simply genious to pull this off in the hustle and bustle of Grand Central
Frozen in Grand Central
I pride myself on this. I have watched both the British and American versions and think I am very knowledgable concerning the show. I think I could answer pretty much any question posed to me. But if you can stump me, you get one Shrute buck. Let me start the triviang off first.
Question. Which bear is better?
Whether it be eastern, western or Lexington style, list your favorite BBQ places/sauces and tell what's so special about them.
I like Carter brothers in High Point because it's got a great atmosphere. I also would really love to go to one of the Smithfield places. Their menu includes everything carolina -

If anyone can provide their opinion on Smithfield that would be great.
Also, one of my favorite sauces comes from Stoneville - Papa Lonnie's goes good on anything and everything and I love the blend of mustard and vinegar-

You can also pick his sauces up at the local Fresh Market.

I trust everyone has had a great Memorial Day. This is such a special day to all of us. I'd like to personal say thank you from the bottom of my heart to every VFW who may read this. Thank you and I honor your service to this nation.
I was going though some old boxes today when I came across something very special that I thought I would share with everyone. My grandfather served in Germany for the artillery during WW II. Apparently during the war, Pepsi Cola sponsored some program to allow soldiers to make recordings on lps to send back to their loved ones. I found one from my grandfather to my grandmother. It's in mint condition and has the stamp on it still intact. I thank God this happened today of all days.

lol...this may not exactly be the way I would wish it but nevertheless it is funny.
It even has a decent message - at least they tried :)
Happy Mother's Day
This probably shouldn't be in the entertainment section. Sorry, I had no other place to put it. The post deals with American history, so if you are not interested read no further.
I remember one of my grandfathers very well. He might have been the most enigmatic people I have ever known. He was so peaceful in his soul.
I never met my other grandfather but there are some stories surrounding his life that I have heard that are as astounding, and I think he was just as peaceful in his soul.
When we as people define ourselves, we should know our ancestory to the point we can determine. It is the best history lesson the human can learn. It should be the way we present it to others within the vast world. It should be allowed to be studied within public schools, even at the elementary level.
I have been familiar with the "trail of tears" for quite some time now. I remember going to the play "Unto These Hills" as a child. Of course, there were many things that I could not comprehend at that time.
Recently I decided to look into this documentary. It is very compelling and I would suggest anyone who thinks they have Cherokee lineage to look into it. I did, but it still doesn't motivate me into joining the Cherokee nation although I am of percentage. That would just be wrong for me to do, and I think it would harm their nation as well.
Have a look at it.
