I had the pleasure of going to Kepleys the other day. My oh my what have I been missing my whole life?

Kepleys is located on Main street in High Point and I would venture to say that they may have the best BBQ I've tasted in 10 years. The history of the place is really neat also so make a day trip out of it.

Well then, buckaroo, if you haven't already, you need to try Lexington BBQ off Biz 85.

Of course, they are tearing up the road there and you may die trying to get home, but what a way to go...

SPEEDY'S BBQ in Lexington has some of the best around.....

cook2712...x2 on the Speedy's BBQ recommendation. My fav of all the local joints.

We are certainly blessed to live in an area with so many fine BBQ establishments, though. I think it tends to jade us, and forget that even a mediocre BBQ in our area would be top-shelf in other parts of the country.

Glad you "found" them JQ. They have been a good place for me to pop in for a loooong time. Another good one in Lexington is Jimmy's BBQ on Cotton Grove Rd. I like the fact that they have two sizes of buns and you can get white slaw OR red bbq slaw on your sandwich.

Cindy,

I particularly liked the way they dressed the serving with BBQ slaw on the side of the tray. It was very nice and worth mixing the slaw with the BBQ.

However, I will never eat slaw on a hot dog or a hamburger. Its a disgrace.

Oh my goodness...You won't believe it, but the best BBQ sandwich I've ever had was at Undercurrent in Greensboro. This was a few weeks ago, and I went there with some coworkers. I swear, that sandwich was so good, I wished I was there by myself so I could eat it like I meant it, no dainty, eating-like-a-lady-because-I'm-with-my-peers business slowing me down! It was just a pulled pork barbeque sandwich, and my GOODNESS it was awesome. Try it! They're in downtown Greensboro.

JQP, if you are ever over 'my way', stop at
A&M Grill/Restaurant on Hwy. 70, in Mebane! It made the top 10 list, on the PBS show about the best BBQ in NC!!! Well worth the drive, LOL! Sometimes on Friday night, they have 'acoustic music' from a guitarist from the area. Great food and atmosphere!!!
