Looking at the world today, Islamo-fascist (as Glen Beck calls it) taking over the middle east, a war in Iraq and Afghanistan, tension rising with Iran, turkey threatening to enter Iraq, hunger in Africa, pandemics threataning and the general state of hell the world appears to be in. I must ask. Do you think World War 3 is near? or rather yet, Do you think Armageddon is near?

One reason things are going so badly is that Right Wing Christian Dominionists have infiltrated the United States Government and want to start WWIII, and want to bring about a nuclear war.

That is one theory about the Right Wing Christians, they are so interested in Revelations and the "end times" that they actually want to help speed it along and contribute to make it happen.

It is up to the responbible and sane citizens to stop them and their plans of starting uneccessary wars.

"Islamo-fascist (as Glen Beck calls it) taking over the middle east"-Hittokiru Kuku

Islamic extremists are using the Foolish and Immoral Preemptive Invasion of Iraq as a propoganda and recruiting tool to gain more power.

This was the work of Republicans, this DID NOT HAVE TO HAPPEN!

"tension rising with Iran"

Again this doesn't have to happen either, it is the plan of Dick Cheney and other Neoconservatives within the govt and in Conservative circles who want to invade Iran to take their oil and because they want to the U.S. to become and empire

"turkey threatening to enter Iraq"-H.K.

If we had never foolishly and preemptively invaded and occupied Iraq, Turkey would not be thinking about invading Kurdish Northern Iraq.

Prior to the war, Turkey begged the United States and George W. Bush Administration NOT to invade, because it would create and uprising of Kurds in Southern Turkey which would require a Turkish invasion of Kurdistan.

I believe in what you say here gorbash. You are right about these hardcore bible toters. They are so bent on the end they would help it happen to prove themselves right.I always hear them tell me "what if the bible is the truth wouldnt you rather be safe than sorry"? Well guess what, what if the bible is like all other religions and just a good ole mythology and you destroyed the earth ( and all the civilizations already destroyed in the name of abrihamic gibberish) just to prove me wrong, who is worse, at least I kept to myself .

Hittori - you also metioned pandemics. I think this is a very high probability. Working in the medical field, I see "superbugs" becoming stronger and stronger every year and totally immune to ANY antibiotics we can throw at them. (See present day stories about the drug-resistant MSRA staph infections at local schools.) The "Andromeda Strain" will get us all in the end!

The end of the world will be caused by all these radical christians assuming God will take care of everything. Or the future is in Gods hands. WRONG! Our future is in our hands Not GODS!! Get it together and start making this world a better place today! God will not do it for you.

is a question; I was told by a Christian that the Jews were no longer Gods Chosen people as said by God in the Old Testament. The reason? The Jews turned their backs on Christ. Okay here is the problem. The same Christians swear that God is, was, and always will be. He knows and controls everything according to the Christians. So if this is true, And God knows and controls everything, why would God call the Jews is chosen ones? He would have known the Jews would turn their backs on Christahead of time. Not to mention God would have controlled the whole senerial in the first place according to Christians anyway. Sounds like more double talk to me again! To try and make Christianity look superior.

Ellak- Right Wing Christians believe that Jews will convert en masse during the end times.

This is nowhere in the Bible, but it has been invented by Southern preachers with books like Left Behind by Timothy Lahaye and other Right Wing Christians who focus on the End of the World (as if thinking about it will make any difference

Some even say that Jesus will return to earth on a White Horse and kill unbelievers (it is trully insane and disturbing!)

For the record, I am a Christian and I DO NOT believe the Jews are "damned" (or whatever you want to call it!) This is nonsense. If a Jew leads a good life (helping the poor, not judging others, loving their neighbors, basically following the moral laws of their religion), then they have nothing to worry about, IMO.

It is important to note that there are Christians out there who are not insane and irresponsible like Right Wing Christians.

People who believe both in science and key Christian tenents/principles, people who use their faith to help others in need like the poor and respect people of other faiths.

Hittokiri - "Do you think World War 3 is near? or rather yet, Do you think Armageddon is near?"

We may be in WWIII with Radical Islam seeking to own the world.

Armageddon? Seems like every generation thinks their time is ushering in Armageddon. Who knows if it is upon us or not. I believe the primary issue is to be ready IF it comes in our life time. To enter the Kingdom, Jesus said "Repent and believe the Good News." That is a good place to start.

No one knows when the end will come. As far as WWIII... I think we are already in it. Unfortunately it's just beginning and we have a long way to go. But that's just my opinion.

hybridtalk - I've told you before - I already read the bible. And I've discussed this with my minister and church and he/they agree. If one believes that their religion is right and practices it faithfully and lovingly, praising their Lord and following his principles, they can be saved.

Both are crazy, but one is more crazy than the other (the people who believe in the Left Behind series and the white horse thing)

I am 19 years old, a raised Catholic but Agnostic and I work at a bowling ally as a pinchaser (also known as a pin monkey). My hobbies include reading manga, playing chess in which my ELO rating is 1135, watching anime, messing with technology although my internet slang vocabulary is rather poor, and I am a 4th Kyu (green Belt) in Traditional Chinese Kenpo where I am also participating in Shoot-fighting. I intend to teach Karate for a living. I'm not the kind of person to boycott, protest or march because of something, whether or not I believe in it. However I would like to note that I have been boycotting McDonald's since August 2007, I intend to continue until they offer the regular menu at all hours. My website is http://jinchu.weebly.com/
