Clarity in a world of chaos

by Herschel from You don't know, do you?

Last Post 234 days, 6 hours Ago

After two years of choking from our beloved Cowboys, (Can you believe that 2nd half performace?  That from what had been all year, a second-half team?) I find myself not really caring about the SuperBowl. Why should we sulk?  After all, Roy &  T.O. Rushed off to hang out with the Lyric's, Claudia's, and Melyssa Ford's of the world (I don't blame them) and Romo probably got a nice back run from Jessica Simpson (Not a bad way to end the season). After all, it's just a game- at the end of the day.  But oh, what a game!

Sure, I'm going to watch the Super Bowl, but mainly as an excuse to wolf down some wings, and laugh at the commercials.  I'm not really a Giants fan, or a Patriots fan.  I like players on both teams- ( Michael Strahan is the only Giant I like), but on the Patriots- I do like Randy Moss, Tom Brady, and Junior Seau.

But, I'm an NFC man, not an AFC man, so if I have to pick one, I'd rather see the Giants win.  The odds are stacked against them though. On one hand, I'd like to see the Patriots go 19 & 0, on the other, I'd like to see the Giants upset them- thus proving you can sneak into the Playoffs, and still walk away SuperBowl Champions, on any given Sunday.

There's something cool about watching a giant fall, and the Patriots have been head & shoulders above the league all season.  Sometimes the under dog wins.

Glenn beat Roy Jones Jr. (Say what?)
The Miami Dolphons Beat the Super bowl Shufflin' bears (Fluke)
Villanove beat Georgetown (I loved that!!!)
David beat Goliath
Red Sox came back from 0 - 3 to beat the Yankees...
The Heat came back from 0 - 3 to beat the Mavericks- (OK, that wasn't cool...)

So, while we'll have to see if Romo can get a ring, and the girl next year. And, Brett may have to retire with only one ring instead of two- what do you guys & gals feel about the Super Bowl.  Do you care who wins?

LOL!! I'm with you on at least one thing. I really don't care about the superbowl now that the Packers got eliminated but I gotta say that the commercials are always a blast. Wings and coronas are alway a weekend thing.

Strahan is the only Giant I like too and I don't like any of the Patriots. I'd love to see the Pats go undefeated though. Someone's gotta do it. These guys have gone through some tough games to get where they are. Then again, I like the underdog too, in this case cause I like Strahan and I'd like to see him get a ring.

As for Favre, he can rest knowing he at least has a ring, poor ol Marino didn't get one at all.

Who am I pulling for in the big show? Hmm, tough one, I guess i'll stay neutral in this one and just watch a good match. You know they're gonna duke it out till the end. May the better team that day win.

As a Chargers fan, I will always like Junior Seau. I am not a Giants fan, and much less an Ely Manning fan (his spurning of the Chargers in the draft was unforgivable). However, I am always a fan of the underdog (unless it is against my favorite teams). So find myself in the weird position of hoping for a Giants win. 19 & 0 is just not right...

I'm watching Wowowee, a nice diversion. :) Sometimes I think it is better than sports (rarely, but we do have a Giants vs Patriots Superbowl coming up)...Have a great night Herschel!

You that the patriots will go for 19-0. But the giants will give them the run for their money in the long run. The patriots are beginning to ware down little as you saw when they played the chargers this last weekend. We will see if they will much it when they play the giants. The giants are really going to come out fighting though.

Yep, that'll be something to see.

Reminds me of that Packers/Bronco's Super Bowl a few years back. Being an NFC man, I was pulling for Green Bay. But, I did like Terrell Davis and have always been an Elway fan.

As usual, the NFC was beating the AFC team, but midway through the game, the tide turned and Denver started winning.

I actually found myself rooting for Denver! It was great to see Elway get that ring. Then, he went and got another one.

If Dallas can stay healthy, and get a running back to compliment Barber, I think the Cowboys will be a threat again next year.

Anybody BUT the NY Giants...

As long as it is NOT the NE Patriots.

Ugh. I dislike both teams, but I probably dislike NE even more than NY.

I think I will clean out the garage that day.

I was day dreaming the other day and was just thinking what a interesting season it would have been if New England Pats weren't around.

Not much fun when the same team wins every year, unless it's your team.

Just wondering which two teams would be playing in the super bowl then?

Just something to ponder on.

Outspoken, I suspect it would be San Deigo and NY Giants if the Pats were not there.

At least there would be one team I could root for.

BTW... Which team was it that was spying at the first of the season. I submit that team should be disqualified from the NFL for a few years.

I hope the NYG's win, but I have a pretty good feeling the NE Pat's might take it... again. The Pat's is the team I rooted for from the get go, but I try to stay opptomistic for the NYG's. May the best team win!

I was out for a ride on the Harley the other day and a pickup with TEXAS tags past me and it had a Patriots sticker in the back window.

Now that just ain't right! It looked like a young Father and his young son in the passenger seat. What kinda example is he setting for his son? ;)

It sad to say that some people will jump on the winning team band wagon no matter who it is, even if it's a bunch of yankee's. ;)

I will never stop (and its sling-ING ) fighting words...Not a bad apple in "Plow Toy town" just a believer of common sense, and common sense says, JJ will never see another super bowl with the Plow Toys in it....The only reason they got in last time, was because Jim Johnson is a hell of a coach, wasn't scared to tell JJ where his place was, and COACHED not puppet a team....

Plow Toys could't win big if the Mob had sharp shooter on aimed at any opposing team, and the team just layed down on the field and let the players run right by them...some dumb ass would trip and fall and fumble out of bounds, or drop a pass....they would lose by plain stupidity....and dont give the ball to Slo-mo on the last play, he will just walk over to the other team, and hand them the ball like he has the last two yrs. in the post season hunts...ROFLMAO.....

opptomistic I will be also. That young Father and his young son I wonder. Why are they here in Texas, and not in their own state then? Seems like they're behind enemy line displaying that sticker. Heh heh heh.

I very much care. I hope the title goes to the NFC. Also if the the pats lose, they will not break as many records.
