Why is there so much talk about what people do sexually?

Someone please explain to me, why some of those in America, want to tell other people who they can have sex with, in order to be given the same rights as heterosexuals?

Ones sexual orientation doesn't hurt anyone, does it? Why is it so different for the gay & lesbian community?

Leave religion out of it.

I really don't understand that, as a human being, a person of America, why this community cannot be afforded the same human, American, right as the heterosexual side of America. Based on what one does sexually?

We are talking about an individuals sexual preference, are we not? Are heterosexuals not given some right because they are heterosexual?

Really . . . because of ones individual sexual preference?

I thought rights were given to all the people, not to a certain group of people. 

I don't get it. And more importantly, why some don't get it.

LEAVE RELIGION OUT OF IT.

what's wrong with the picture is a very small minority of the population is dictating to the very large majority of the population what shall and shall not be acceptable. duuuuuhhhhh!!!!!

Take religion out of it. Let's just talk common sense.

Since Ellen "came out" on TV, the homosexual epidemic has grown exponetially. Now, you can't turn on the t.v. without having it forced on me. Even Teletubbies show gay pride.

Furthermore, tax money is being used to teach children to question their gender and try the homosesexual lifestyle. How sad and confusing for these already vulnerable children. The government is paying to treat the many diseases being rampantly passed around the gay community--flesh-eating disease, anyone? That sounds fun. 1-in 13 S.F. gay men have it!!! How 'bout some of those anal warts? My surgeon brother in Pal Desert says they have to put masks on and burn them off. They look like cauliflower! Yummy!

If we all turn gay, there will be no more U.S. and it's catching like wildfire. Get it?

So what the both of you are saying is - that because some people aren't like you in their beds, they shouldn't have any rights or state or federal help for what ailes them?

SpaceAlien - no one is dictating to the masses. It takes a majority to pass. That is why other legislation has not gone through. Keep voting you'll be heard.
The Judges only said it was not constitutional and that's why it was over turned. The constitution says "We the people" not "We the heterosexuals" or "We Adam & Eve"

Andilee - I don't understand why you think I'm disgusting. I'm voicing my opinion and because it's different from yours, it's disgusting.
I treat people like people and let God do the judging and outcasting.
Tax money?, don't you think gays and lesbians pay taxes? And please give me the name of the school and the city & state of 1 school any school anywhere that says "try the homosexual lifestyle".
Did you know that homosexuals aren't the only ones practicing anal sex?
As for being forced on you. Just like the TV for our children, you have the right to change the channel. There are plenty of talk shows as well as cartoons that are non or heterosexual, watch them, (heterosexuals are the only ones that can have any kind of media?).
Sounds like you want free speech just for heterosexuals and not for all. Plus just like some in many other minorities, I'm sure they feel that the dominantly white TV shows are being forced upon them. Though I don't have and facts (purely my own opinion), on that last statement . . . common sense duuuuuhhhhh!!!!!

sexual predators child molesters I'm sure pay taxes too it dose not give them the right to their perversion..homosexuality is unnatural .its unhealthy practices are the reason for the spread of AIDS not only in their community but infecting the heterosexual community as well through bi-sexual behavior and tainted blood ..these people are all about sexual lust deviant behavior that as history will tell you every society who excepted homosexuality as normal crumbled...including both the Greek and roman empires ..man was meant to be with a woman to propagate the species as normal homosexuality destroys that ..it has nothing to do with religion most religions were founded on superstition anyway but even back then they saw the mistakes of homosexuality..and nothing has ever changed it was wrong then its wrong now and it will always be wrong ..and should never be accepted as something normal

I just have one last thing to say. We are deciding our future. Once we no longer can afford our basic needs for survival, is this really going to matter. The loss of jobs and housing, the increase in gas and food, the lack of California's water supply really should be the main issue. Because once we are are starving, dehydrated and homeless without any money is this the issue that will really matter. Open your eyes and see what really is going on. I have. And once we are all in a state of panic it will not matter what your sexual preference is.

Not only is what anyone else does in bed not anyone elses business. But like PJcitizen said "Open your eyes and see what really is going on. I have. And once we are all in a state of panic it will not matter what your sexual preference is".

a bunch of freaks marching in a parade is not in the bedroom why do we need this disgusting behavior thrown in our faces?why can two men or two woman get health insurance when they live together and a man and woman cant unless they are married?what the hell is that?how on earth do we allow children to adopted by these people ..your better off throwing the kid in the street instead of screwing him or her up they will be tormented by their classmates and end up on some psychiatrists couch how dose a child explain he has two dads or two moms ..the child has one mom and one dad..if theses people want children wake up and go straight ..but get a damn AIDS test first you've done enough damage

If homosexuals don't want others judging tham by who they sleep with than why do they feel it urgent to flaunt it? hey i have no problem with you or anyone else doing your thing just don't put it in my face.. The gay and lesbian community and the stars and people with money feell they HAVE to show who they are sleeping with as a status and after they get criticism abut they are in the defensive. you cannot not put your dirty laundry out there in the public eye if you can't take the criticism. the gay and lesbian community is a world of unknown origin to many of us , i am sure we all know someone or of someone that is gay but that does not make flaunting it right no matter who you are.
SO MY QUESTION TO YOU IS .... IF IT IS NOT OF IMPORTANCE AS TO WHO YOU ARE SLEEPING WITH THEN WHY IS IT IMPORTANT FOR THE GAY AND LESBIAN COMMUNITY TO BE RECOGNIZED AS A COUPLE AND FOR THEM TO ANNOUNCE THAT THEY ARE GAY????

Gay activists are already working on rights for sex with animals (Steve Kameny) and children (NAMBLA). Homosexual education is being introduced all over our country. The homosexual "King and King" book is being read to children KINDERGARTEN age. $750,000 government money was used to bus children into Boston to teach them to question their gender, etc. See americansfortruth.com. Are you telling me that this kind of "education" has no influence on vulnerable children?

What's wrong is that judges are not allowed to write laws.

What's wrong is that gays already had every right that they wanted with civil unions, minus destroying the sanctity of holy matrimony in a Judeo Christian nation.

What's wrong is that the majority of America is against it, and in a democracy the majority is supposed to rule.

I do agree with all of you. Gay relationships and marriage is wrong is not what GOD had planned and i feeel that the gay community is hurting our children . We are in BIG trouble if any of their wants are allowed into our societty it is bad enough that we have to ignore a gay couple fondling and kissing in public and to know that our GOVERNMENTis even thinking to allow any of those laws to pass is beyond me. I am CHRISTIAN and i do believe that we are all created equal but that does not mean we are to sleep with the same sex . Do any of these people go to church and do they not read about SADOM and GAMORAH (iam sure i did not spel that right) or do they just leave that part out at services?? You cannot pick out which verses fit yout lifestyle from the BIBLE it is one whole BOOK that is there in its entirety for s to read . All we can do is PRAY for our world and hope our children can distinguish right from wrong . As long as we stick together and don't alow these thoughts and wants to make us turn violent we will show that our beliefs will conquer. Because i really feel that all these WRONGS that are put before us are there to cause fights and tear us apart , but we will not let that happen we are better people than that . We do have opinions and we wil use them but violence is not the key FAITH AND PRAYER IS!! Just keep praying . GOD BLESS YOU ALL....

Featured On: MyFoxLA Since marriages are not really Bonds of God! But Bonds of Business! What the heck does it really matter?

As I read through the Bible intent on finding what others ignored like the fact that Both the words of the Lord Gods Yahweh & Baal set side by side for the educator to articulate the complete story(s) appear to only speak concerning Yahweh.

I find no real strong language of any mortal sin for being gay nor getting married? Only that one "should" not go that way.

Stoning of one which grew out of hand; really only speaks of this for those that rape women, murder innocent, and a few others...

As far as Jesus, His way was to allow one to murder oneself in the name of faith, holly spirit, but not to kill or prevent others from being what they want.

It is their choice to die and not live forever, the promise of God -Yahweh; not gut your first born of Baal.

So I do not see what all the fuss is about?

Heck; no one has really followed the word anyways, or we would appear to be sheep not wolves.

this is basicly my new opinion since I actually READ the Bible and not allowed myself to be brainwashed by other's manipulating opinions of some agenda(s).

Okay. The problems are tenfold but the same sex marriage issue isn't really about same sex. Rather it is about a single judge overturning millions of votes. That my friend is what really is at issue here. It is about someone going to court and overturning the vote of millions using the court system. Once that happened, true Democracy and the Republic ceased to be. So when you think of that aspect of the new Gay marriage it is really about one man destroying the votes of millions!
