Gigi Graciette's BloGG

I just interviewed a friend of one of the victims whom she identified as Andy Rivera. Andy was the older brother, she says, of the shooter.

While she didn't know the shooter, she describes Andy as a good guy -- a mortgage banker and hard worker. "They were a normal family", she says.

But last night, one part of what may very well have been a "normal family" snapped and basically killed his entire family.

In the process, killing LAPD Officer Randy Simmons and critically injuring Ofcr. James "Jimmy" Veenstra.

So many lives changed forever...it just begs the question: why?

More from the scene here in Winnetka later.

Gigi, tayl made a comment that suggests the shooter was either an illegal immigrant or a son of an illegal immigrant....is that true? I really want to know.
If you find out, please tell us if it's true or false. please.

Gigi,

Tough assignment. As we've learned today, we now know the young gunman had mental health issues as young as 10 or 11 years old. The officials are saying it began with the death of his mother back then.

He must have been a mess to kill his brothers and father.

I'm heartbroken over the loss of Officer Simmons. My friend in the LAPD had spoken with him just that morning. Friday's funeral is sure to be moving and amazing by its show of support from law enforcement across the country.

Prayers to you Gigi. Have a nice weekend. Not an easy story to cover. I'm sure you'll not forget it soon.

É o costume...

Depois dizem sempre que era um indivíduo calmo e amigo e que nunca ninguém desconfiava...

Mas por vezes a calma esconde algo mais...

E as pessoas passam-se!!
