I think it is great that the SMU journalism department is reporting their view of the candidates. I think the web staff at KDFW should give them their own section on the site.

Is anyone covering the Ron Paul campaign or they only promoting the candidates for big government (anti-freedom)?

Big government only, IMO...

Kinda not fair that the media determines what info we learn on what candidate. :(

I think it is more that they are covering the candidates that have a chance to win.

Ron Paul would stand a chance if the people that support him would vote for him rather than voting for someone else they think would win.

You're probably right, Ron - nobody wants to be on the losing team, so they'll vote with the majority, or not vote at all !

Ron Paul has some great thoughts, and practical solutions. As does Duncan Hunter, on the illegal problems, but they won't go far in the race for the Nut House !

Ron Paul took 10% in Iowa and beat Rudy by 6 points. The media is still covering Rudy and Paul currently has a better chance of winning. On top of that, Paul likely raised more money in the fourth quarter than anyone else.

If the media were basing in on chances of winning, they should be giving Paul more coverage than Rudy.

You all are correct in that, generally, people don't vote for the best candidate, they vote for the one they think is going to win. That is a nice summary of why this country is in the shape it is in.

My thoughts exactly, Gray -

for some reason the media is downplaying Ron Paul. I don't understand the reason !

Ron Paul is proof positive that people love darkness more than light. We wonder why the media and the parties hate him. It is because what he represents is light with such brightness that they can't stand to look at it.

kiddypants is partially correct, in that these caucuses mean nothing...actually, none of them mean anything. Unfortunately, I had to delete his childish post because he still acts like a 3yr old.

I like to play devil's advocate. You will often find me using Socratic irony, just for fun. Comments to posts aren't necessarily my position on a subject. I like to try to make people think of the other side of the issue. Don't read anything into my statements. If I didn't state it, I probably didn't mean it that way!
