Yesterday I heard some very sad news. One of the founding members of Pink Floyd, Richard Wright had passed away from his battle with cancer. I have to say Pink Floyd is one of my husband and my favorite groups. Our wedding song was Wishing You Were Here. You can hear his beauty and talent in every Pink Floyd song. I don't think he'll ever be forgotten and he'll be definitely missed by all of his fans. The world just got a little more boring.

Hey All,
My family and I are fans of Fox 2 news. I can't speak for all of you but I think like most of you we rarely watch any other news station. It has came to our attention that there is a wonderful reporter who has been very under rated. This reporter's name is Mr. John Auble. He is too funny even though I'm sure he doesn't try to come off that way. The reason I'm writing this entry is because (I think it was Tuesday) Fox 2 sent out Mr. Auble to that store where they had their employees nake to protest the packaging the of soap (or something like that), to do a story about it. Even though he had handle it like a pro, my hubby and I couldn't stop laughing our buttes off. The look on his face was priceless. What is it that Fox 2 management feels that they have to send this vetern reporter on all these crazy news stories. What is Theresa Woodard or Tim Ezell too busy? Let them do the crazy and goofy news stories. I'm not sure if you all remember the story about the old Beltz outlet mall in Wentzville that was made into a haunted house. The story was about one of the rooms being s & m style. Did Fox 2 news send out Mandy Murphy? No. Did they send out Elliot Davis? No. They sent out poor Mr. Auble. He looked about uncomfortable as if he was sitting on a block of ice. Holy cow! It was too funny. All in all maybe, we started thinking maybe he's the only one who can handle those stories and make it interesting. What do you all think?

Hey All,
Today while watching the morning news, Margie confirmed that the Big Foot in the freezer wasn't real. Please don't say it isn't so (whimper). I may not be the brightest highlighter in the package but I think I guessed this one right away. My husband was able to go to this website where there are professional movie makeup artist, when the story first broke, which was able to dispute the story right away. I just wonder how many folks actually believed this could be true. I feel bad for the poor sucker (oh I mean victim) who gave them money for the supposed corpse of Big Foot. I really doubt these two jokers had the jobs that they claim to have. They are probably part of some travelers group or just two stoners who wanted to see how long they could pull off a prank. Any who, here is the link that gave us the clue that this was a ruse.

Hey everyone,
I know it's been a while since I wrote a blog entry. It’s the usual story as far as an excuse. Something (well there is more than just one but I only have time for one) that got me on my soap box. Today on the news, there was a story about St. Charles city council is voting whether or not to allow residents to have pot belly pigs as pets. There is one family that will be impacted by their decision, the owners of a cute little pot belly pig named Sarah. The folks apposed say it will hurt the city's reputation. All I have to say is PLEASE! These people really believe that? Really? Then I have some swamp land I can sell them. 10 years ago they didn't care about the city’s reputation when the powers that be claimed eminent domain on our family's home (my hubby and I) as well as our neighbors’ homes to make way for the First Capitol Realignment project. They told our landlord at the time to either except the offer they gave him or they would condemn a perfectly good home. The powers that be told that to all the neighbors. That was all to benefit Lindenwood. Umm! Lindenwood use to be a private college. Many of the people on the city council (at that time) an interest in Lindenwood in some way or some fashion. If you don’t believe me, look it up. Yeah there are some sour grapes. Let me say there are a lot of good people who live in St. Charles. We still have family who live there still. Now thankfully we own our own home and live in a really wonderful different town. There is a silver lining in everything but you all can imagine my dismay when I heard people were worried about pot belly pigs hurting their precious reputation. I'm glad though some one is standing up for the owners of Sarah because this is a silly thing. It's not like they got man eating shark in their back yard or something. So I say let the residents keep pot belly pigs because it will possibly help your city's reputation. Thank you and I'm off my soap box for now. Until next time, bye – bye.

Hey Everyone,
The other day I had to ask myself is this really the news when the Miley Cyrus thing broke. In my opinion it's not the news. It really belongs on TMZ, not on CNN or on our local news. I don't care about someone who was spawed from the loins of the mullet king. Give me coverage about the economy or the real issues. Am I the only one whose had issues with this? I don't think even if I had kids I would care. It's a big pet peeve I have with the news the organizations ever since the Britiney episodes. Just the news please, ma'am. In other words I don't give a royal rat's patootie about any this other stuff. What do you all think?

Hey All,
How was your weekend? Any more after shocks? We had a great weekend, after shock free. Apparently last night our area and others had an after shock but we didn't feel squat. Hee!Hee! This weekend however, my hubby and I were invited to help celebrated my sister in law's birthday. We had a blast. The whole family went to the Comedy Forum in St. Charles Saturday night. Two opening acts were completely funny. The headliner, Mike Toomey was good but you can catch is act on You Tube. There wasn't any thing new or different. He was funny but I think he should write some new material. After the Comedy Forum, we all went to my sister and brother in law's friends' new bar and grill called The Broiler. That place is completely awsome. We all had fun. My hubby and I got home pretty late that night. Sunday we got some house work finished. All in all it was very fun weekend and well rested. How about you all?

Hey All,
How are you all doing today? Hopefully a less shaken. We are all good here. When the first one hit, I slept right through it but my hubby thinks that's why he woke up this morning. Our cats didn't do any thing strange that I know of. When the after shock hit, my hubby was at work and I was at home. At first I thought he had came home early because it sounded just like when he comes home through our back stairs. Then I saw our glass shower doors sway. I thought, did I really see that or is it all in my head? My one cat didn't even move a muscle. He stayed a sleep through the whole thing. I called my hubby, who validated what happened because his co workers felt it. I don't know if this was due to all the hype or in my head but after the after shock, it felt like my belly had dropped. Some what similar to when you get off a roller coaster. Did you have any thing like that or was that just me? Umm, something to think about. I definitely don't want to go through that again. Until next time stay safe everyone.

I know this is a little late and a dime short but this has been on my mind since it aired about the eight teens accused of beating up a sixteen year old girl over something really trivial. I'm sure many of you are tired of hearing about it and will call me an idiot but I have a solution. Why waste space in an already over crowd prison system, when the judge or jury can give them a choice of either going to prison or serving in the military. Not just any branch of the military, how about either the army or marines. Why not? They already like to fight. That way they will have something to show later in life other than how to make a shiv or being a drain on our economy because no one will hire them due to their prison record. Make them an example to any one thinks about beating up someone and is wanting to post it on You Tube. The judges did it during the vietnam era and probably other times as well. What do you all think?

Hey All,
How are you all during this rainy, snowy April day? We (meaning my husband and I) are doing well. I'm just ready for spring to be here officially. We have a ton of yard work and plans that we itching to do. Oh well, it's a good relaxing, lazy day. Hee! Hee! I'm sorry for not being on here more but I forgot about having this blog. I guess old age is really setting in. Uh? Well no excuses. Are any of you watching the John Adams mini series on HBO? If any of you have HBO, it's definitely worth the watch. I really would like to read the book by David McCullough by that same name. I have found out that the older you get the more you find a true appreciation for history if you didn't before. Right now, I'm reading "The Painted Veil" by W. Somerset Maugham. I fell in love with the movie (the latest version, not the original) and decided to get the book with one of my gift certificates from Christmas. I just finished "Little Children" by Tom Perrotta. That was a very good book as well as film. To my surprise, that I didn't know but he also co wrote the screen play for the movie. I was wondering why the movie had coincided with the book so well. What are some of your favorite books or even movies? Well I better go now. Blog to you all soon.

Hello everyone,
How is everyone doing? I'm doing fine. I know this has been long over played but hey I'm slow. LOL! Here is my opinion on the whole Bishop Burk thing. Does he really think his parishioners are that dumb that they can't make up their own minds on things? Does the good bishop think the people of his church don't make a move with out him? They are not a bunch of teenagers waiting for him as though he is a parent giving his consent to let them go to the dance. I think that's what really bugs me the most. I'm sorry if this offends some of you who are reading this. That's not my attention. All I have to say is, this is one out many reasons over the years, why I consider myself a former catholic. Not only has he taken the attention away from some sick children who need the help, but has made it in to religion thing which had nothing to do with the concert it self. It's not about Freedom of speech or Freedom of religion but some blowhard who seems to think the whole world revolves around him. Now I got that off my chest I can sleep much better. LOL!

Hello all,
Even though I've had this account I'm new writing on my page. I have other blogs but I guess I need to pay more attention to this one. Uh? The Fox2 community thing has been more up dated since I was here last. I guess I should tell you all about myself. I'm a happily married woman who lives with her handsome hubby and two kitties in the Woodriver area. That's over in Illinois for those who don't know. I like to read, watch films, and write. In fact I've got a guest column in the Telegraph, which I'm very proud of. You don't get any thing for it. It's just for bragging rights. I must admit I haven't ever seen a single episode of American Idol but I do like the Simpsons, American Dad, and Family Guy. I guess that says a lot about me. Uh? What shows do you all like?Well talk with you all, soon.
