Obama and the 2nd Amendment Flip Flop

OK, I've never been accused of being the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I have a little bit of sense.  Does Obama support the decision or not???

I thought "Wild" Bill was bad about leading by opinion poll, but he seems to have had nothing compared to Obama!!

Obama said he has "always believed that the 2nd Amendment protects the right of individuals to bear arms, but I also identify with the need for crime-ravaged communities to save their children from the violence that plagues our streets through common-sense, effective safety measures."

If you recall there are a number of things he has flip flopped on and he is showing his true color which isn't black but YELLOW! The Muslim is coming out now!

The man is simply saying he believes in the Second Amendment, but something has to be done to keep guns from getting into the wrong hands for the wrong purposes. Just like the Supreme Court said this week: guns for citizens, but not felons, mentally ill people, other risky populations. It's common sense, folks.

Its very simple. Lock up the hoodlums and don't let them out. Why is it so hard for us to do that? I have never been able to understand the logic of those that think gun control laws solve anything.

O but now you have opened another “issue” that both Obama and Hillary (remember they both have law degrees) have been involved with...and on the subject of crime and punishment they have both sided with the idea that justice should not be blind RE: being a minority can mitigate your action and make you eligible for lesser punishment for a crime.

Equal rights should mean equal punishment. Those who have $$$ for a good defense might get off easier sometimes. If people knew how many really bad criminals they were sharing the streets with everyone would be armed. Just one more reason that if our founding fathers could see what has become of our goverment they would IMO tell us another revolution was long overdue.

Never said that Obama was dumb ... he is obviously following 'ol flip-flop Bill's strategy that bagged two terms, count on the stupidity and short memroy of people.

Baraka is just toooooo deep for us simpletons. We can't understand the clarity of saying that he has always believed in and supported the second amendment of the constitution, but not every law abiding citizen should have the right to bear arms because crime is so bad. lol

Now I get it , “equal rights for everyone”* some restricts may apply...it is no news that he has a very different idea about what that word means than the rest of us and the dictionary.
And I do agree on that one Jim , do the crime do the time NO excuses ! Justice must be blind to be fair ...

Sounds like a non-answer that another certain politition used in a different debate. Anyone remember the fiasco about Hillary's answer concerning the licences for illegal aliens? Here's a snippet from a website below:

The presidential primary season is finally over, and it is now time for gun owners to take a careful look at just where apparent nominee Barack Obama stands on issues related to the Second Amendment. During the primaries, Obama tried to hide behind vague statements of support for “sportsmen” or unfounded claims of general support for the right to keep and bear arms.

But his real record, based on votes taken, political associations, and long standing positions, shows that Barack Obama is a serious threat to Second Amendment liberties. Don’t listen to his campaign rhetoric! Look instead to what he has said and done during his entire political career.



FACT: Barack Obama voted to allow reckless lawsuits designed to bankrupt the firearms industry.1

Born and raised in Tampa, I'm a 5th generation Fla Native and proud of it! My mom raised 6 of us by herself, in a time long before welfare and food stamps. She worked 3 jobs, which is probably where I learned my work ethic and my distain for people who are too lazy to work and "expect" their welfare checks and food stamps year after year, generation after generation! I spent over 20 years in the Air Force, going in during Viet Nam and leaving after Gulf 1, and have a son currently in the Army preparing for deployment to Iraq. The loves of my life are my wife, kids, grandkids and the Harley (not necessarily in that order, but don't tell the wife, kids or grandkids)!! When not working on my second "career", I ride with a group called the Patriot Guard (patriotguard.org), attending the funerals of our heros who gave their lives for our freedoms. Most in our organization use our "personal days" or "without pay" to attend with permission of the family, and are proud to do it!! This group started because of people such as those at Westboro Baptist "Church" who began protesting these funerals with signs such as "thank God for dead soliders". NEVER AGAIN!!! Yep, I'm a right wing, conservative redneck. I don't like people using abortion as birth control. I think the ACLU is the worst thing that ever happened to this great country. I think 99% of the lawyers give the rest of them a bad name. I promise that if you come into my house in the middle of the night you will be carried out and buried. I think no one should be on welfare for more than 2 years during their life I don't think I should have to pay to support your kids fathered by someone whose name you don't know. I think every county should have a jail just like the Sheriff in Maricopa County AZ with tents and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I don't care if what i say offends you. I think illegals should be put on a bus and taken back across the boarder. I don't think I should have to press 1 for English. I think you have the right to burn our flag, but I promise you won't be successful if I'm around and don't care if I get sent to jail while your left-wing, liberal, Michael Moore, Rosie, Alec Baldwin America haters cheer!!!! I will PROUDLY go to jail to protect HER!!! If we disagree here, that's fine. You have to right to be wrong. I don't take it personal and hope you don't either. Land of the free, BECAUSE of the brave...
