Yes, he's oht...oops, I mean hot!...but he's also quite an actor. He's probably the first actor I've seen who can actually hold his character's accent through an entire show. On the other side of the spectrum, think Kevin Costner in "Robin Hood." 'nuff said.

Anyway, what really makes him stand out as an actor is his ability to make you like House even though he's such a jerk. He lets you in just enough to see the guy's got some heart and a lot of baggage that keeps him at arm's length from everybody. I saw that from the first ep I stumbled on. My husband couldn't understand why I wanted to watch, but now he gets it too, and I think he appreciates the craft Hugh Laurie puts into his role.

I LOVE HIS character he is such a prick. but he is so handsome i liked him when he was in man in the iron mask he plays the king advisor he looks funny with long fake hair.
