I LOVE that Commercial

Okay, it's not a new commercial and they re-run it right around Valentines Day every year, but I just love that Publix commercial where the little kid has his mother bake a cake for a girl "he likes".

She asks, "Does she know you liker her?" and he says, "I guess." Intrigued and curious, the mom hints "Let's right her name on it." (the heart shaped cake). He says, "Nah."

The mom drives him to school, the boy gets out and she yells after him, "Wait, you forgot your cake!" He turns around...and this is the best part...with a look on his face that says, 'no I didn't', then runs into school. The mom finally realizes that the cake is for her.

Yeah, kinda sappy and when you think about it, she baked her own caked! LOL! But hey...great commercial. Publix usually has good ones, like those pilgrim salt and pepper shakers around Thanksgiving.

So there have been blogs about the worst TV commercials, I thought I'd start one about your favorite ones....

I like the one where they are getting the football field ready and misspell the team's name. It's some candy bar commercial.

I also liked the Coke commercial where there is only one Coke left in the fridge and the dad says "get me a Coke". The kid looks in the fridge and realizes that it's the last one and then remembers all the things that his dad has done for him. Then the kid says "do you want ice with that?" I thought it made a nice family values statement. Something that is hard to find today.

the best ones are in the superbowl !! at least they have some fun ones ! but the day to day ones are horrible-Thank goodness for my DVR !!

and who are the idiots who think up these ads ??

All the publix ones are good.

I also like the one where the little boy is now an artist and showing his art work includes the Sun and the house and the one of "mommy and daddy" wrestling... lol... of course they hurry and grab that art work. I forgot what they were advertising.

Oh Hen House! That commercial gets me everytime! That little boy is so adorable, and his Mom is so patient helping him make that cake, all the while trying to squeeze out of him who it's for... Too cute!
Whoever came up with THAT ad deserves a raise!

Oh and the little girl who says "its the mirrors" is adorable. I volenteer at a local Elementary school twice a week and those kids are the best. One day I will get Married and have kids..... One day.. yeah right.

rexsmom: I love kids and that is my soft spot. I just have to met the right person. I am way to picky. But thanks and they will be loved AND spoiled. I was at Paradise Island the other day to see family visting from Tampa and this little blonde with blue eyes about 2 years old was afraid to get near that pirate statue near one of the shops. Her mother kept saying 'come on get next to it for a picture" and she wouldnt move.... so cute. I and some other guy interviened and told the moron mother that the child was 2 years old dhhhhh . I am still thinking about it. Poor thing. The mother gave up after that. So I have it bad for kids... I want them all safe and happy.
