How many people are paid to “guess”?

After a week of tracking storms every day and night, RON JACKSON's "SUMMERTIME PATTERN" may actually be setting up!  That's when High pressure builds into Texas, with the huge CAP of hot air...and day after day of no or at best low rainfall chances. 

We have had only two days in the past FIVE weeks of temps below 90...and there is little chance that we will see any cooling the next week. There is a slight chance that Wednesday afternoon will yield a storm or two (mainly S & E). This is a good time to start thinking about watering the foundations, and conserving water in other areas. Lake levels are falling, and will continue to fall as temps stay high, and rain chnaces remain low.  Here is a link to follow them:

We had no cool spring time, it just jumped right into feeling like August. Can't paint outside because of the humidity.So what is August going to be like? Hopeful it won't be a normal August with 105 temps. Have a good day

Hi Evan,

You can look at this "summertime pattern" two different ways, it can make your job real easy or real boring.

Real BORING. It's a lot easier when you have a change to talk about. If I wanted easy...I'd be working in San Diego or Phoenix! LOL

Well...Keep up the good work Evan. Your still my favorite weather man. Plus you just seem like a real nice guy, even when Tim is picking on you. Keep on smiling and talk about the smog in the ozone, that should keep you busy.

evan i wish everybody just live alone on how you want to dress and how you do and tell the weather. i think you do a wonderful job on the weather.

I’m the guy who gets up at 3am to get the forecast on the air each morning on GOOD DAY! Other than being constantly sleep deprived and taking afternoon naps, there is life after TV! I spend most of my free time with my wife and best friend, Lori. She is an amazing woman who keeps me sane and gives me a dose of reality if I need it. She has stuck by me and my lousy hours for over 5 years and counting! During the school year I visit elementary school kids and teach them a few interesting tidbits about the weather. It makes me appreciate the teachers in our country. I spend the rest of my time trying to stay fit, cooking and trading stocks! I grew up with a father who is a CPA so I learned about the world of business and markets. I don’t like the term “day trader” but I am an active market “timer”. So I can tell you tomorrow’s weather forecast OR forecast for the trend in oil or the NASDAQ! I have a "teenager" and two "tweenagers" in our blended family. They help keep me "young". Well, at least they educate me on what it's like to be young!
