It appears we will have TWO more chances for severe storms before the weekend is over! Ok, maybe FOUR if you live down south.

Today...just a chance for our southern counties with the fringes of a disturbance near the Gulf.

Tomorrow...about a 30% coverage during the afternoon and evening hours, and likely EAST of I-35 as a cold front drops in. Some severe storms with hail and high winds as well.

Saturday...slight chances far southern counties near the old front.

Saturday Night....Could be a widespread outbreak ahead of a strong cold front dropping in from the northwest. Large hail, winds, and even a brief  tornado threat before we clear out and have some great weather on tap for later Sunday into early next week!

Can anyone say OT?

I wish you would order up some calm storms-haa Do you remember the afternoon showers we used to get, before they started getting so severe? The kind that made you want to stretch out on the screened in porch and sleep? You could listen to the thunder roll, rain on the roof, and feel the breezes comming thru the screened windows? You may not be old enough? I want you to know I have been watching weather since I was a girl. In all my years, I do not remember Texas being sooooo violent. Yes, we have had Hurricans and Tornados, but never this many bad storms so close together..Am I wrong? Or, Does it seem to you the Air Traffic and Road Traffic is making things worse? My thought is "wind causes motion"? Now I dont have your educational experience but seems to me an educated guess, that this is part of the problem and it isnt just atmospheric. Love the coverage..Thanks.

I am just so exited about summer coming! Pool, heat, shorts, tanks, flops, shades, all of the above wrapped into one! For FOUR months, the weather is all mine! I am so happy and ready for the heat waves! The cold can hold out for a little while longer. I've got to have my time! 100's HERE I COME!!!

I’m the guy who gets up at 3am to get the forecast on the air each morning on GOOD DAY! Other than being constantly sleep deprived and taking afternoon naps, there is life after TV! I spend most of my free time with my wife and best friend, Lori. She is an amazing woman who keeps me sane and gives me a dose of reality if I need it. She has stuck by me and my lousy hours for over 5 years and counting! During the school year I visit elementary school kids and teach them a few interesting tidbits about the weather. It makes me appreciate the teachers in our country. I spend the rest of my time trying to stay fit, cooking and trading stocks! I grew up with a father who is a CPA so I learned about the world of business and markets. I don’t like the term “day trader” but I am an active market “timer”. So I can tell you tomorrow’s weather forecast OR forecast for the trend in oil or the NASDAQ! I have a "teenager" and two "tweenagers" in our blended family. They help keep me "young". Well, at least they educate me on what it's like to be young!
