How many people are paid to “guess”?

One round 'o' storms!

It's been a nice week, but all good things must come to an end. Later today a cold front moves in...combined with a very strong upper level disturbance. That spells a round of thunderstorms...some with high winds, hail, and very heavy rain. There could be some flooding with these storms between 6pm and midnight. The nice part here...is that it's a one shot deal. We clear tomorrow, and set up for a nice weekend! Warm winds will begin blowing again by Sunday, and by the middle of next week...more storms! It IS April of course!

Evan, do you think these storms tonight have the potential to be as intense as the ones we experienced last week?

And, are they going to head our way after midnight when we are all asleep again, or will they begin before that?

I usually leave after 12:30, so sometimes I don't see the blog until it's too late! You can email me directly at evan.andrews@foxtv.com and you will usually get an answer a lot quicker! I check that one from home!

I’m the guy who gets up at 3am to get the forecast on the air each morning on GOOD DAY! Other than being constantly sleep deprived and taking afternoon naps, there is life after TV! I spend most of my free time with my wife and best friend, Lori. She is an amazing woman who keeps me sane and gives me a dose of reality if I need it. She has stuck by me and my lousy hours for over 5 years and counting! During the school year I visit elementary school kids and teach them a few interesting tidbits about the weather. It makes me appreciate the teachers in our country. I spend the rest of my time trying to stay fit, cooking and trading stocks! I grew up with a father who is a CPA so I learned about the world of business and markets. I don’t like the term “day trader” but I am an active market “timer”. So I can tell you tomorrow’s weather forecast OR forecast for the trend in oil or the NASDAQ! I have a "teenager" and two "tweenagers" in our blended family. They help keep me "young". Well, at least they educate me on what it's like to be young!
