I haven't blogged in a while and much to my surprise some of you have written to ask where I've been.  Which makes me feel great...and think that you might be a little crazy.

Well, I've been here.  I don't know that I have any ONE topic I'd like to address.  My brain works pretty randomly most days and I can flip a topic like a pancake.  So, I'll give you a little sample of my radiohead...

I can't believe I have less than a week before I leave for Japan and China - don't forget to call my credit card companies and let them know I'll be using my credit abroad...Gas at my corner has dropped to $4.21/gal - remember to stop on my way home...This Lean Cuisine pasta is not half bad...If we have another earthquake, which is best...getting under a desk or standing in the doorway - must buy desk...I don't care that Chief Bratton has outed Lindsay Lohan, I do care that he doesn't want to do anything about the paparazzi situation...time to hit the grocery store - grab my list.

Have a great weekend guys!

I hope you have a great time overseas Erica! I have my only natural aunt living in Northern Japan, and a couple of cousins from both sides of my family. One of my cousin's daughters got married, and came to visit my family and my maternal uncle's family...I made sure that she and her husband had some Angels baseball caps and a tee shirt to take home with them. Overseas, they seem to like "Americana".

Have a blast!

I'm very excited, Christine! I've never been to Asia but I have a friend competing in the Olympics and there has never been a better opportunity. (See my blog "Boston to Beijing)

Mr. E, thank you for your well wishes. If I see anyone with an Angels cap I'll ask if they know you!

Erica,

If you end up in northeastern Japan in the Fukushima prefecture, there are some hot springs that you can relax in. It all depends on your tour guide. Also, most of their goodies are individually wrapped due to humidity. Some of their goodies have a mixture of being sweet and salty, so I'm giving you a heads up - things like Japanese rice crackers. There are some hard candies that have a hint of molasses in them; if you bring them back for your colleagues, they'll probably like them. You might want to check with Jane, Susan, Tricia, or Kevin for some ideas. I hope this tip helps. My relatives live in northeastern Japan. Take care now! By the way, I have a friend who is a DJ in Tokyo's nightclubs. He's known as DJ Nashi. He grew up here as a kid, graduated from Cal State Long Beach, and works for a record company in Tokyo. If you hit the clubs and run into him, he'll know who I am...I'll send him an email in case you go clubbing in Tokyo.

nice to see ya back. it's been a while. so what's on the shopping list? just curious to see what you normally buy from the market. i dont know i guess it would be interesting to know that everyday a person like mark thompson wakes up and eats a bowl of cookie crisp. or if you normally enjoy drinking kool aid (fruit punch). i'm just odd that way.
