Online sports celebs...online party celebs...who are these people?  Have you heard?  Well, this week we are gonna lighten up the mood a bit...of course we will revisit the Mac Arthur incident once the internal investigations are finalized and released to the public...BUT in the meantime, let's discuss an article I recently read about the internet.   The argument made is that we as a society of tv viewers are slowly, but surely moving towards an "all the time online world".  In other words, instead of going to your television for news, and other tv programming, you and I will  basically power up our desktops, laptops, and or cell phones to "tune in".  I do see some truth in this, but I guess the question is how long will it be before we are all hooked to the net for everything, or say almost everything?  Also, how long before it becomes easier and faster to stream video etc.?

AAhh, and what about those online celebs...persons who are famous on the internet...or what about Elie said to be the first online Sports reporter for a newspaper in Los Angeles...check out his hilarious segments at ...   http://youtube.com/profile?user=ESNEWS  These folks are really big in the digital world...it is such a phenomenon.

Get ready for more high tech coming your way... Ladies I say what about a button we click and it gets all the housecleaning and cooking done for you?? Brilliant huh... ;)

Hey, I tried. :))

Waiting to hear from you my friends...

Well I'm assuming that I'm one of your friends so I'll chime in (if I'm not then say so).

What's a little scary is the idea of people getting their news from blogs, which are largely based on opinion as opposed to fact. Although you're right when you say that television is a dinosaur when it comes to how people get their news (and newspapers are prehistoric as well) it's a little unnerving when people start accepting what's written in blogs to be facts.

Of course, everything in my personal blog are facts, so I really don't apply.

I don't think I can trust the net for my news, unless it's this site. Everything else is just lies, rumors and opinions. I also don't trust many web sites because the threat of viruses. So I don't see how my computer will ever take over my TV time. In fact I’m only on my computer when I’m at work, or fixing my tunes my I-tunes. Other then that I’m never on it.

Just wondering if I’m your friend too Liz? By the way, I haven't done my 10 questions on ya yet, so here I go. I hope you have the time to answer them. If not, it's cool.

1. Can you describe what a typical day is like for you?

2. How do you feel like when your doing your job live and there is a person in the background doing silly antics (exp. lifting up there shirts, making funny faces, doing a odd dance) to get notice on TV?

3. What is the most embarrassing thing that has ever happen to you on screen and off?

4. What is your favorite type of music, singer, and band? How did you get into type of music? What type of music do you dislike?

5. What do you do to entertain yourself when you’re not on camera?

6. Who is your best friend at work?

7. When you meet a fan in a public area, what is your reaction towards them?

8. What are some of your favorite TV shows, and movies?

9. What were you like as a child, and as a teenager?

10. Do you remember your first day working at fox? What were your feelings at the time? How do you feel about your job now?

Bonus question: who would win in a fight? Steve Edwards or Hal Eisner from channel 5? Anyone can answer this one too. It isn't just for Li

I only spent 10 to 15 minutes online a day. I feel that sitting behind a computer too long can be unhealthy for you. I stay in shape and so I spend more time in the gym than on the computer. I read the newspaper every morning to keep up with my local news and sports. I also watch the first 20 minutes of the news on T.V. All I need is the latest breaking news and events. Sometimes the weather can be decieving predictions can be decieving. Thanks for your time. Take care.

Ciao querida,

I much rather tune in on the T.V. and watch you live...unless, of course, you start doing the news on the internet full time.

Ddain...

Yes you are a friend my dear..as far as the blog deal goes, yes you are right, it can be very scary that some folks may interpret what is written in blogs as factual information. Even your blog my dear is not "all facts all the time"... :)
So, did you check out the link I shared with you all? It's hilarious, you gotta check it out!

Samo...

Que paso? Talk about landing a serious homework assignment? :) Just answering question number one can be a 10 chapter novel depending on the day? :))
Well, here is some of it:
1) busy-busy-busy
2) if its a serious story, I tell the person hoping he/she won't make a fool out of themselves..if its humorous, I will probably include them if appropriate...But do I ever get mad---nope--it would be a waste of energy...
3) probably mispronouncing a word on air...
4) I generally like a lil bit of everything from India Arie to Maxi Priest to Celia Cruz...
5) I work on my story and or start going on other pieces...
6) best friend is a big one...usually is someone from my circle of friends from school...
7) I am always honored and humbled people are soo excited to meet!!
8)My fav right now is Heroes... more coming, to be con't

Instant gratification is the culprit for people turning to the internet for news, info, or answers. although I turn to TV for the latest news (I prefer the generalization of the lastest topics making the news) if there is a reoprt that im particularly intersted in, I fire up the laptop to get more info. I guess it all depends on how serious a person is about being informed with whats going on in the news.

Take someone that has a loved one in Iraq. I can imagine they are on CNN or another site that gives them the most up to date info on the war (I know I would). Or someone like myself. I'm a pretty busy man and unless there is a shift in the real estate investment market, I can wait for the news to happen and watch it @ 10 o-clock. I dont need to be up to date.

So can I picture a growing trend of people going to the internet for their news...I think a better question is how serious people are about getting their news. as serious person would turn to the net (its the only thing that satisfy their need for instatnt gratification) or, like myself, they can wait for the news and catch it in the evening/morning.

You have quite a following here, Elizabeth. I can see why. from your other blogs, you are quite an interesting, friendly and special woman. Add me to the group, will ya?

Ok, Samo I am back..here goes my answers to number 9 and 10...

9) what was I like as a child?? whoosh, actually I was a total tom-boy...hung out with all the boys, was a skateboarder, ruined my buddy's boogieboard at the beach (oops). It didn't help my parents always had the hairdresser cut my hair super short..in fact there were times at Dodger gamnes with my dad that people often called me a really "cute boy"..hahahah ! Too funny! Of course, I wasn't terribly amused at the time. ;)
As a teen, let's just say I always walked to my own beat...was not a follower, if anything I really made it a point to be friendly with all the different clicks on campus. To this day though I laugh when I recall a particular classmate who would always ask me if I was drunk because I was always bubbly and smiling...can you believe that? Too much... anyway, you got a lot out of me on this one pal, I am impressed...you sure you're not a tv reporter from the news station across the street??? hee-hee :)
And finally, for the bonus my friends, let's leave it at this...word on the street is Fishman is a 3rd degree blackbelt on and off the anchor desk... hee-hee I am j/k, who knows, but I will say this...I would pay BIG money to be ringside at that fight! :))))

Jean Emmanuel...

Where are you from? Spanish, Italian, Greek? Take care-

Ediefella,

I can soo appreciate your need to correct grammar errors, you are soo cute! :) And yes 20 mins of news, top of the newscast is generally better than nothing...although I gotta warn you often times my story does not make air until after the half hour mark...so not all that is at the end of a broadcast is fluff....:) Thanks for filling me in...

Martin...

Welcome! So you are a real estate mogul/blogger huh? ;) On a serious note, do you have friends/fam in Iraq?? What an ordeal..I know because my first cousin was there and boy was it hard for me to hear the news out of Iraq..I would cringe everytime names of the deceased were announced. My best wishes and lotsa prayers for everybody out there!!!
As for me and being online, yes its happening more and more...especially since I have soooooo many work e-mails to review..wish I could have more time to blog really!!
BTW mister..nice pic of you... talk to you later!

Peace-EE

Now I really want to see an old school pic of you with short hair. You totally have to put one up for all of us to see.

As for your teen years. I was the same way too. Still am. I even got the drunken comment too, but it was because I was drunk at school. Not my fault.

The day before my sister bought a whole mess of mike hard lemonade. She told me that I should try it, it's like lemonade and soda mixed. Well I love soda. It tasted ok, and their wasn't anything else to drink. Next morning I wake up and got dress for school. Then I remember that it's a late start. So I sat down, watch good day L.A. for a while. I never eat breakfast but I had time to drink while I watch TV. Then I saw the mikes hard. So I drank like 10 of them within like 10 min. I was so messed up when I showed up to school. I never drank alcohol before. So I didn’t know I was drunk. When I got home that day, my sister asked me what happened to all of the mike hard. I told her I drank them. She asked me when. I told her before I went to school. Then she was like "you know it has alcohol right?" and I was like "no". You said it was like soda. lol. Crazy story.

From what I could tell, Steve could kick Hal’s butt. No problem. If Steve’s dancing is any indication of what his fighting skills are, I’m sure he would no problem mopping the floor with Hal. Hal doesn’t move too much, and I’m sure there is a reason for it.

What station is across the street? Nope i'm not a reporter. I'm just a very curious person, that's not afraid to ask the tough questions (lol).
