OK.. so do you think it'll happen BEFORE THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION?
HA!
Do you think congress will act on giving you a break on the federal fuel tax you pay?
Some of your lawmakers want a "Holiday tax" (60/90 days).. other don't.. claiming the fuel tax is needed to cover needed highway cost.
We're asking lawmakers today.. "what's the deal?"

Stung by credit card costs, some gas stations are offering discounts if you pay with cash!!
Florida Law permits businesses, such as gas stations, to offer a discount to induce payment by cash, check, or other means not involving the use of a credit card, so long as it is offered to all prospective customers. Look for the cash for gas promotions at you local gas station.

So.. Orlando City Commissioners will vote on approving the funding to get this off the ground.
Red-light cameras at 10 intersections in Orlando.
If they approve this today.. you could be slapped with $125 fine (owner of the car)
The violation will be treated like parking tickets.. no points will be docked from your driver's license.

Imagine leaving your car in a parking lot for five minutes only to return and find a boot on it.
It's happening more and more to folks in private lots in Downtown Orlando and that is forcing the city to make some serious adjustments.
City leaders this week could vote to put the brakes on some of the questionable tactics being used by a particular towing company.
People who frequent downtown say that's a good idea.

Stay safe and stay smart this Memorial Day!
It's on track for final local approval. All the major players -- six counties (Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola) expected to sign off on the $615 million deal.
We're talking about putting 61 miles of commuter rail through these counties as an alternative to adding more freeway lanes.
Orange Commissioners expected to sign off on the project Thursday.

Is there such a thing? What do you think?
Here's what I found:
Compact cars can give you around 32 miles per gallon of gasoline.
A mid-size sedan... 21 to 22 miles with a gallon.
Cross over vehicles (a cross between a medium suv and sedan).. 20 to 21 miles per gallon.
Hybrids .. somewhere around 40 miles per gallon.
Do you slow down? FHP says many people don't. Remember to turn on your headlights but not your highbeams.

Hi everyone! Tonight, thursday at 5 PM I'm doing a story on what drivers and motorcyclists need to know while sharing the roads.
Especially with Bike Week approaching, we'll talk to FHP about why sharing the roads with thousands of bikers requires special attention.
