POOR NEW SYMRNA BEACH!

Boy.. I'm covering the stormy conditions at New Symrna Beach today (Wednesday) and let me tell you.. this storm is not playing nice to New Symrna.  I'm watching the waves just CHOMP away at the beach.

So sad considering we just paid millions to renourish this beach after the 2004 hurricanes.

I'll keep you posted on how things turn out.  Stay dry.

the eye is approaching you at around 1130am and the bottom side is really bad. Usually the top side his stronger.

The old saying, you can't control mother nature, is been proven. Wait for the five days of wind and rain expected.

I hope you brought your lunch cause the eye is coming your way. Should be there around September or October.

All I can say is tough! And if we would STOP ALLOWING MORONS to BUILD on the coastline, YOU'D NEVER NOTICE THIS EROSION! This is what all the developers that build hotels, motels and homes along the coastline where THEY REALLY DO NOT BELONG! We'd never even think about these storms eroding the beaches at all if all the new and continuing development had NEVER got started.

If the hotel/motel/home owners are so worried about their property falling into the Ocean, then they should have THOUGHT NOT to build or buy there in the first place. BUFFOONS!

And all these so-called property owners SHOULD BE THE ONLY ONES RESPONSIBLE for RE-SANDING the beaches, because if it weren't for them being there, it WOULD NOT need to be done!
