Oil Robber Barons

 Oil Robber Barons -- Douglas ChickAt the gas pumps in this morning, I stare at the swiftly spinning dials, and the cycle of anger begins. Oil Robber Barons strike at the pumps again. I check out at the grocery store, Oil Robber Barons impact the food I eat. I come home and watch the nightly news, Oil Robber Barons, Oil Robber Barons, something about Hilary and Obama, Oil Robber Barons.

It is true that we are a capitalistic society, and our country enjoys the luxury of a free market, but when our economy is driven by Oil Robber Barons, where is the line between a free market society and out of control greed?

The countries that regulate thier oil sales, have a stronger dollar then the U.S. (They are financially stronger than the United States.) Why, because they know their economy is based off the cost of fuel. Do we need the same regulations to protect our country, or do we allow Oil Robber Barons to drive down America until we are a weak, over inflated, hollow country, dependant on the generosity of other nations?

well first it is not over until the FAT Lady Sings!

Second it is not Bush (that much)and not just the Oil Barons either; as much as it is, the TAX COLLECTORS!

The way I look at it, 45% taxes (and any windfall tax you or I would pay, pay ,and pay some more; if even used) is collected on all the profits?

Let me think...ouch I hurt myself...no money for the schools, no money for services, no money for anything but self serving adventures!

It is like Colleges must be free around here for were does all the money go?

Sure isn't the TV money from football games!

Oil Barons; YES, but worse is Uncle Sam's little ones as well...

Or am I seeing things?

Heck on the generosity of other nations; do not think so, for we/our leaders push other nations around like DOGS way too much.

Other Nations are not only waiting with baited breath for our CARMA to come full circle!!! to laugh at us and our blindness (ask Islam, Vietnam, or Mexico's boarders --I think) but walk as we do/did; this is what it feels like.

We are told one does not know what someone else is feeling!

HA!

Lie, we can know what others are feeling, just not the extent or depth.

But a good idea!

off topic some but not really for if food is manipulated so is emotion; my head may have been in the sand growing up from the Unionized teacher, but that was so long ago I am hopeful things are different now.
