My Blog seems a little silly to me in light of the death of Tim Russert. If you watch our show you know I call...called...Tim my TV boy friend. He is just about the only person on TV that is impossible to replace. My Sundays always start with Tim. It reminds me of the old song..."Sundays will never be the same"

Hi Dorothy. I want to make a few comments.

1) Regarding the Colin Powell/Barak Obama situation. I think Powell would probably make the best VP on many levels, as he has considerable experience in the form of a military General and Secretary of State. I think us democrats should thank our lucky stars that he didn't run for president - he may very well have outed McCain. On the other hand, I think the election of two African Americans on the same ticket would present a pretty extreme challenge for our country at this time. Baby steps.

2) I think Nischelle does the best job out of all of the reporters who are given the opportunity to work the desk in the studio. She is very personable on camera, reads well and is absoulutely beautiful. How come they didn't let her go to Boston to cover the Laker game?

3) The loss of Tim Russert will be felt for a long time. One thing I noticed about him was the fact that he was very impartial. I watch MSNBC a lot for their election coverage. Some of the reporters and anchors divulge their party or candidate preference in one way or another, but I could never figure out his position on either. I think it's because he represented what a truly impartial journalist who worked with a high degree of integrity is.

So there you have it. I watch the show every morning. You guys are the most dysfunctional, crazy, typical and absoultely normal group of folks, all the way down to the dancing stage manager dude.

I heard the news very early after this happened on Friday from a friend who has a friend at WRC in D.C. and I didn't believe it...a couple hours later there was not only confirmation of the heart attack but the announcement that Tim Russert had died. After the initial..oh my! I immediately thought of you because you had on so many occasions said he was your "tv boyfriend" and how you admired and respected him so much. In fact, it was becasue of you that I switched my Sunday Morning political habit from ABC to Meet the Press and never switched back. Russert cannot be replaced and there will forever (in my opinion) be an uncomfortable hole in the political journalism relm.

Everyone needs to make a life better and stop all the worrying about Tim Russert . He was for the f*in elderly folks .

to put harvey levin in the same sentence as powell or obama borders on blasphemy, then again ur a natural at that, where on earth were u educated? i want to make sure not to send my daughter there...
