Yes I hate myself... especially this morning. Steve says I can't write a blog without saying the word boobs...so let me get this out of the way early... I feel like a boob. During all the Britney talk today all I could think about was me and Brit's little sis. Last night I had dinner with some friends. Three Moms, six kids...it's odd we got to talk at all... but we did talk about Jamie Lynn Spears. My friend Brooke has a little girl same age as Nash. She was telling me how her 9 year old reacted to the news that 16 year old Jamie Lynn is pregnant (child with child). I said "How did she even know". Brooke thought for a sec and said ..."you told her". She heard me say it on the show. I can always say hey it's my job. It's news. Yet I feel sick spreading this news to little kids I love. Steve has always made fun of me for raising my son in a bubble. I don't want to burst other kid's bubbles.

I do not have an answer... not for me or for society. I can look at the tape of those photographers literally ambulance chasing and I could vomit. All those photographers chasing Britney to the hospital. One of them maybe her new guy...the photographer she picked up off the street. They are vultures. Yet I am the one bringing you all the details. We all (ok except for Steve) like to look at the pictures in the magazines. We like the photos...but more and more you're seeing what it takes to get the picture. Today was like the slaughter house. We got to see the making of the sausage... and it's ugly. Yet I am the one feeding it to you.

Since I have no answers...let'ss move on to Iowa. I have thought Obama and Huckabee as more of the VP type. I am not sure if either is ready to be President. But Barack always says look at what experience did for Cheney and Rumsfeld. Hillary may have picked the wrong time to talk up her "experience." As for Huckabee....he says let's take care of the widows and orphans. These are the words of Christ. He is truly a compassionate Conservative..( didn't we think we were getting that last time?).

History making... interesting results...but you know what they say ...as goes Iowa...so goes Iowa. In other words what happens in Iowa may stay there. Onto this Tuesday..and then Super Tuesday.

PS: I am co-hosting "That's So Hollywood" this weekend so even more Britney talk coming you way from me. So I'll hate myself this weekend too!!!!!

it's your job to talk about such things. don't worry about it too much. besides we can always put it on mute or change the channel if we dont want to hear it. as for children hearing this type of stuff. well you can't protect your kids from everything, and i'm sure they have heard much worst things from each other, then what you have said on tv.

as for britney, and her sister, and all the other messed up girls in hollywood. they are old enough to make their choices. they crave attention, and do dumb acts to continue to have their names mentioned on your tv shows and many others like it. if they didnt want the attention, then they could always just stay home, and live a low key lifestyle. look at johnny depp. a world famous actor, and you rarely hear anything about his personal life. these girls bring this upon themselves, and maybe one day they might pick up the control, watch what your story about them, and they might wake up and do something to better themselves and their lives. take care dorothy. i'll be sure to watch tsh.later.

Dorothy,

You can't "dislike" yourself for doing your job. You didn't put Britney in this situation, she is doing it to herself. If she knew Jesus, she would truly have peace in her heart and would live a content life. When you feel the love of Jesus, you don't need the attention of those who could care less about you (Paparazzi). I wish someone would intervene and tell her that life here is temporary and that you should be walking as close of a path with Him as possible because ultimately, He is the only one who will truly love us and never forsake us. On that note, God Bless you Dorothy. I watch you every morning because I think you have a beautiful soul and you make me laugh.

God Bless,
Nichole from Burbank

britney doesnt want to take anyone's advice. she has too big of a ego. that's her problem. she feels like she can do anything, and get away with it. which she has. until she get's her head back into reality, she's going to continue in this downward spiral. that's her fault completely.

begin conversations with state and regional legislators to create an atmosphere in which the media can do a job and take away the economic incentive for the photogs. i am tossing you an idea of high tax for pics of celebrities. bounce the idea back.

Dorothy,

When you use the word boobs, you can use it to describe the fools who invade Britney's space. Now Britney had it coming, all thanks to some very bad decisions she and her managers made years ago...the biggest: hiring a pornographer to do the music videos and choreography. That dirtbag alone could have introduced her to the drugs and drinking problems she now has.

Speaking about other "boobs": Hillary can flush her presidential run down the toilet for all I care. Nobody will easily forget Whitewater, her absence from the 9/11 victims shortly afterwards, her pledge to not run for President (boy did she break that promise!), and the list can go on and on. Now, enter the book by Kathleen Willey: Target: Caught In The Crosshairs of Bill and Hillary Clinton...boy that's some good reading! Talk about a degenerate running for office!

Oh yes, congradulations for co-hosting T-S-H this weekend! I look forward to it...ask Mark Thompson about me...he'll fill you in about my blogging! Or of course you can read what I've posted, including the time he was gone...(hee hee!).

I am also a media person...I work behind the scenes in radio...so I fully understand the pressures media folks face. Enjoy hosting T-S-H! You can bet I'll have something to say in response. And I agree with craftyguy (hee hee!).

Hey, at least you still have a conscience about this stuff. That says a lot about you. You're not chasing after the ambulance with a camera like those crazed paparazzi last night. (Boy, was that like a scene right out of "Day of the Locust," wasn't it?) And even if you want to, you couldn't in those spiked heels of yours. :)

As the presidential race, I don't trust Huckabee at all. I fear he's looking to turn America into a theocracy of sorts, just like the kind we see - and condemn - in Iran and Saudi Arabia. Fundamentalism is a dangerous system, no matter what religion is at its core. I'm a believer, but I also believe in the clear separation of church and state, and hearing more and more politicians speak as if such a separation doesn't or shouldn't exist freaks me out. Many Republicans and traditional conservatives have already spoken of their fear and frustration that the GOP is turning into a strictly religious party, and Huckabee may only inflame those concerns. And I have trouble with placing the "compassionate conservative" label on a man who once seriously spoke of quarantining AIDS patients.

OK, enough politics. I'm looking forward to seeing you tomorrow on "That's So Hollywood," if only to see your legs without that pesky anchor desk getting in the way. There, I said it!

Dorothy, don't be so hard on yourself. We all have to do something at our jobs we hate. Could you really tell your bosses I'm not reporting this crazy story?? People would change the channel. I say if the kids find out about the crazy antics of these young "stars" we as parents need to talk to our kids about the bad choices these kids have made. My daughter has seen some of the crazy Britney stuff and just says "look at that crazy girl she's yucky". My daughter is 7. It's still Sponge Bob for her.

Although I fear my comments will be lost amid all the previous comments, I will nevertheless add my commentary.

There are a variety of ways you can look at the dilemna you face regarding your chosen profession. One is, of course, that it is your job and you're not the one chasing the ambulance. However, let's analyze why this phenomenon occurs. For what are these photographers chasing down celebreties? Isn't it for the news shows? Magazines? Media that is willing to pay for these pictures/videos then turn around and use them for their own profit? The question you need to ask yourself is "Am I content to be part of the problem?" or "Am I willing to be part of the solution?" If I or anyone on this message board suffered a mental breakdown, all we'd be worried about is our neighbors. Celebrities have literally the whole world watching them every minute of the day. Their chosen profession does not negate their U.S. Constitutional rights. Being an actress/actor/singer, etc does not automatically imply a forfeiture of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Not being to make a move, literally, without having a mob of photographers snap every private moment of your life is a violation of the principles established in our Constitution. Celebrities owe the public one thing, and one thing only, a great performance at the event we are paying our hard earned money to watch. It would be great if they were positive role models for the teens that look up to them. However, they don't owe us a front row seat to their visits to the dentist, the gynocologist, a private din

As to the politics mentioned. Before one criticizes the current administration, please visit history. If the media coverage that condemns the Bush administration were around during WWII, you would be televising your show in German or Japenese. During WWII, the U.S was trying to remain neutral...until we were attacked at Pearl Harbor. During the course of WWII, 300,000+ American soldiers died. It was with our help that Hitler's world domination was put to an end. It was with American lives that we saved thousand of Jews from the concentration camps (I am not Jewish). But if the media of today were reporting that war, where would our world be today? Freedom is not free. As long as there are individuals or groups of individuals that want to take freedom from others, we must be prepared to fight for freedom. We were attacked on 9-11 simply because we are allies with Israel. We were attacked not by a particular country but by a people spread throughout this planet. When the decision to go into Iraq, look at history again, ladies and gentlemen. In 1988, Sadam killed thousands of HIS own citizens with chemical weapons, a.k.a. weapons of mass distruction. To say that in 2001 he no longer had them is like saying the United States no longer has nuclear weapons even though we bombed Japan twice with nukes. Think about the facts of history before blindly believing the propaganda of the current administration's opposing party. Remember that Sadam had 8 years, during a weak administration, to hide, destroy or ship to a friendly country evidence of his WPMs. Remember, it

to hide, destroy or ship to a friendly country evidence of his WPMs. Remember, it is very important that we have democratic societies sharing our planet. People who have a voice for themselves tend to care about other's having a voice too. Afterall, we don't see Australia, a democratic society, trying to take over the world, do we? They care about their freedom and wouldn't take it from other people. We definitely need more democratic societies in the Middle East...not just for us but for everyone.

If I were Democract, I would trust John Edwards over Hilary(who tolerated a cheating husband right under her nose. What would she tolerate from another politician or country?) and trust John Edwards over Obama. But I'm not Dem, so I will be voting for someone else. :)

I hope Dorothy Lucey sees this and comments.

Sorry about all the mess ups. I didn't realize there was a word limit.

There was more to the Spears thing, I'll continue:

However, they don't owe us a front row seat to their visits to the dentist, the gynocologist, a private dinner with their spouse, taking their baby home from the hospital, etc. They don't have the obligation to tell the world who they are dating, etc. Although I have very little respect for Britney Spears and her lifestyle, I feel sorry for her. I believe she lacked a strong foundation growing up and the pressures of the industry at such a young age, compounded by the industry that stalks her has contributed to the poor choices she has made, continues to make and to the meltdown that is being currently played out under the microscope of the tabloid industry. An industry that not only exploits the subject of their scrutiny but also exploits and misuses the 1st amendment rights guaranteed in our Constitution.
