Wednesday, July 23, 2008 As we listen to the constantly evolving Obama who now is pro surge in Afghanistan, we must only think back a few weeks to remember his words on the war; I believe it was he who voted against the surge in Iraq and considered the war lost a few months ago. Wasn’t it he who stood before the people of Iowa and told them he would bring the troops home immediately as his first official act as President? Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t that Obama the other day standing safely in a somewhat secure Iraq telling the world that he would listen to the Generals when it came to the pull out of troops from Iraq? Isn’t that what Bush has been doing?

Please try to understand, the only change you are going to get with an Obama Presidency is higher taxes and a shift in power. You who are considered the rich people of America, you know who you are, the ones who own a small business and employ up to 20 people. You people whose income is considered large because of the gross profit you must show in order to pay your employees a respectable wage. It is also you retired folks who have built your retirement in the form of stocks and bonds, if Madam Pelosi gets her way she will take a good portion of what you worked hard to save for the unfortunate unemployed and illegal aliens. According to her, wealth was meant to be spread around among those who haven’t been so blessed as you. (man doesn’t that sound familiar) With your unfair advantage over the years you have taken more than your share of the pie. With Obama in the White House who is going to stop her from getting at your money?

Senator Reid would make a wonderful Vice President for Obama, I say that because we would love to get him as far away from Nevada as possible. Pelosi would do as the Secretary of State, she would almost be as much fun to watch as Madeleine Albright as she stumbled around the Middle East making a mockery out of the memory of Henry Kissinger. We could send her to point her bony finger at the leaders of Iran and demand they put an end to their nuclear program. If one of our Embassy’s were to be attacked we could send Dick Durbin, Jack Murtha and Kerry to plead with the terrorists not to do it anymore. Murtha could wear his Marine Uniform, that is unless he burned it in shame after the fiasco of Haditha. Senator Kerry could wear his Purple Hearts on his sweater because we all know he soiled his little Sailor suit in Viet Nam.

I say this all with tongue in cheek but just so you know, it scares the hell out of me. Wake up people, look around you. You are surrounded by slick politicians who will do or say anything to get Obama elected. They don’t give a damn that Obama is qualified or not or that his could be the first black president. They just want the power back in their hands. After the General Be tray us stunt in the New York Times we haven’t heard much from our buddy Michael Moore and his Moveon.org butterheads but just wait they’re out there and when you least expect it they will be there with their hate America rhetoric. Next time you pass an American flag waving in the breeze take a good look, those stars and stripes have waved proudly for 232 years. Old Glory was there on Suribachi on Iwo Jima, she was there as Pattons Army plugged the Battle of the Bulge. She waved majestically over our troops as they landed at Inchon. She stood a lonely vigil on an outpost in the Mekong Delta and she was there when our troops pushed Iraq from Kuwaiti soil. It’s not just a banner it’s a pledge for freedom. It’s a pillar of strength built on the souls of men and women who would rather die than be the cause of her disgrace. Take a good look, they say if you look long and hard enough you will see the faces of our hero’s looking back at you.

And that’s my opinion,
Don

Get the Kool Aid Ready
The presumed Democrat nominee for President of the United States just told a crowd of Germans (who really showed up for a rock concert): "Tonight, I speak to you not as a candidate for President, but as a citizen – a proud citizen of the United States, and a fellow citizen of the world."
This "citizen of the world" said we must tear down walls between immigrants and natives. He doesn't to make a distinction between legal and illegal immigrants.
Each year more than a millions Mexicans invade the United States. There is overwhelming evidence that this migration is part of a larger plan to place the Southwestern United States under the jurisdiction of Mexico.
Barack Obama would grant citizenship to all illegal aliens and tear down the wall now being built on the Mexican border. In other words, he would deliver us unto a culture of corruption, murder and conquest.
This is madness.
What's next? Do we all make like Jonestown and drink Kool Aid?

I believe in a commonsense approach to government rather than a reactionary one.
