Saturday, July 19, 2008 As hard as I try I cannot understand the fact that people who are normally very intelligent, active in their communities and holding good jobs can be liberals. It doesn’t make any sense to be for higher taxes, to be all for amnesty and the fact that they buy into this crap about we went to war under false pretenses just blows me away. The democrats in the house and senate saw the same Intel that the president and his advisors did and came to the same conclusions. Go back and check out the records if you don’t believe me.

It’s just like Obama now saying he would put more troops in Afghanistan to bolster what we have there now. A few months ago he was all set to bring everyone home immediately. Just wait a few months and he will be known in his own mind as the one who orchestrated the victory strategy. Come on people, we were attacked by people who believe it is their destiny to destroy everything western civilization has built. Getting rid of a bad guy like Saddam was a bonus. I believe the President and his advisors knew that this would not be over quickly. I think they laid a stage for war to be fought in to keep it off our shores.

The losses we have suffered in Iraq are miniscule compare to other wars we have fought for lessor reasons. God knows every life is precious and has life changing consequences for those left behind but had these animals had their way without interference they wouldn’t stop until the world was in their power. Their belief whether you care to understand or not is that we are infidels and have no right to exist on this earth.

The ones who strap bombs full of nails and ball bearings to young women and children do so with the firm belief that they will go straight to heaven and be martyred by Allah. Suppose it was your supermarket that was targeted and your children, wives or husbands were in there standing innocently at the checkout counter, would that change your mind? If you think it wouldn’t happen, think again. They have absolutely no compassion for us or our children.

The people who are still blowing things up in Iraq are not everyday Iraqi’s, they are brainwashed imbeciles. Look at the market places that have opened and are operating freely and the activity of the people in the streets, yes they want their country back but not at the cost of the freedom they have achieved so far. We want our troops out as badly as some of the civilians want us out but just like them we don’t want out at the risk of jeopardizing the gains we have made in their behalf.

Have you noticed that when McCain or the President and his staff go to the war zone they do so in secret? They do not want to put our troops at risk protecting them. We have been hearing about Obama going to Afghanistan for days now, how would you like to be those troops that have the mission to protect him and his entourage ? Now he is planning a speech at the Brandenberg gate in Germany. He is actually comparing himself to Kennedy and Reagan, how egotistically sweet.

Are you liberal’s blind to everything that is going on in the world? Obama is like all the other politicians, he’ll lie and confuse to get what he wants and that’s the presidency. Once he has it, Heaven help us and hope his ego doesn’t get in the way of our freedom. It is the very same tact that Chavez used to get elected in Venezuela now he is running for dictator for life.

And that’s my opinion,
Don

Well I think FDR was wrong if Bush was to declare war. Only 2117 military personel were killed when Peral Harbor was bombed yet 3000 hard working regurlar people were killed when the Twin Towers were taken down. FDR held 120,000 Japanese Americans in prison camps because they were Japanese compared to how many terrorist in a prison camp by our military today because they are TERRORIST? You have to love the liberals thinking, it is alright to kill regular people but not the military. Go figure, maybe we should all be armed for war just in case.

This is another comment I received on my personal blog at donlindberg.blogspot.com.

Anonymous has left a new comment on your post "How can you be normal and still a Liberal?":

Don,
Senator Obama has released his first two national television ads. They are both biographical sketches that describe Obama as a product of midwestern values who worked his way through college and law school and rose to become a legislator passing bills that reduced welfare rolls and extended health care to returning vets. The trouble is, Obama grew up in Hawaii and Indonesia, didn’t work while he was in school (except one summer job in college and one summer-associate position in law school), opposed the welfare reform for which he now takes credit, and had nearly nothing to do with the bill he claims extended health care to vets — he wasn’t even present to vote on it. None of this would be an issue if Obama hadn't raised it, but in his need to offer a biography of presidential caliber, he is forced to stretch and strain in ways that highlight his lack of one. In this “new kind of politics,” even the ads are fiction.

I posted pictures of Obama and his rough childhood on my blog. For a poor kid he sure traveled alot and was active in trying to get a radical Muslim elected in Kenya but then we all know he has no Muslim background. Just a father, stepfather, brother and extended family in Kenya, and his work to get one elected and then you have his schooling but remember he wasn't muslim just attending a school that taught it. Also look up what his mother studied. She makes interesting reading.

You know Don before the 70s Liberalism was the preminaent political theory and it is reemerging as that now. There is a reason why academia is more liberal because with more education and intelligence you tend to become more liberal.

Obama definitely has the makings of a politician from the Jimmy Carter School Of Democrats. If that dingbat gets into the Oval Office, I'd say let the Senate and Congress stay as is, then in 2012, when everything goes down the sewer, the Democrats will only have themselves to blame (and they will be humiliated). Conservatives can then take back the White House, Congress, and the Senate and we'll hear a funnier scream from Dr. Howard Dean (sounding like the Al Bundy scream).

Forecasting where the nation is in 2012 is a little bit silly. That is two election cycles away.

Demboy: with more of the CURRENT GOVERNMENT'S education and "intelligence" you tend to become more liberal. I've seen some of the things being taught today, and it's a pile of STINKY ROTTEN GARBAGE! The Gay Agenda, atheists, and others have infiltrated education to brainwash the younger generation into being spoiled and rotten. Don't worry, I'm not implying or saying that you are one of them...I take it you are a hard worker, and you take your studies very seriously.

Just remember that Don's been around during the era you're referring to. Even I remember the hippies, and I was just starting school back when the voters voted Nixon into the White House. I remember my 8th grade English teacher back in the mid 70s (when Carter ran the show) talking about the hippies and the liberal things that cropped up. Some of it was good, and some was awful!

As for 2012, you can laugh a little if you want, but I might have hit a bull's eye with what I've said...we'll see soon!

I believe in a commonsense approach to government rather than a reactionary one. I believe in welfare for the person trying to re-establish rather than the present form where it is impossible to get off the roles once on. Man should be rewarded for his actions not his inaction.
