Animals remind us of the power of God's love to create with such wonder and diversity. Giving thanks for animal life on the planet, we include those that share our homes and other that live in nature.

Animals are testament of the love of God active throughout  all creation. New mothers protecting their offspring or a kitten or puppy snuggling in a person's lap are all expressions of God's love in the world. They give us reason to rejoice.

Pets, large and small, give and receive love unconditionally with great enthusiasm. Beloved pets and service animals show us the joy and loyalty of being there for those they love. We are grateful for animals and all they teach us about love and commitment.

conVICK + DOG KILLER = NFL SUSPENSION & JAIL

To all you conVICK supporters that always claimed his innocence and continue to argue that he never killed the 8 dogs, what is your excuse now?

conVICK suspended indefinitely from the NFL...

TO ALL YOU CONVICK SUPPORTERS... WHAT IS YOUR EXCUSE NOW THAT HE'S PLEADING GUILTY AND ACCEPTING FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR TORTURING AND KILLING THOSE POOR HELPLESS DOGS? ARE YOU STILL CLAIMING HIS INNOCENCE? WHAT HAPPENED  I THOUGHT YOU ALL SAID HE WAS INNOCENT? 

WHAT A COWARD, HE TOOK THE EASY WAY OUT! I GUESS HE DIDN'T WANT THE WORLD TO HEAR THE DETAILS OF THE GRUESOME, BARBARIC, HEINOUS ACT OF DOG FIGHTING AND TORTURING OF THOSE POOR DEFENSELESS DOGS...  THOSE POOR ANIMALS WERE PROBABLY WAGGING THEIR TAILS AS HE WAS PREPARING TO EXECUTE THEM BY TORTURING, DROWNING AND ELECTROCUTING THEM! WHAT A CRIMINAL, COWARD AND A LOOSER! I'M GLAD THERE'S A GOD ABOVE THAT LOOKS OUT FOR THE HELPLESS!

HERE'S A STATMENT FROM HIS LEAD DEFENSE ATTORNEY: "After consulting with his family over the weekend. Michael Vick ask that I announce today that he has reached an agreement with Federal prosecutors regarding the charges pending against him. Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made."

It seems Vick keeps getting deeper into trouble....

Wow, why is everyone pleading guilty now, weren't they all INNOCENT???  

"Vick's remaining two co-defendants Purnell Peace & Quanis Phillips, are now reportedly prepared to plead guilty on Thursday and Friday of this week. They are expected to join co-defendant Tony Taylor, who already pleaded guilty last month. All 3 are expected to receive lighter sentences in exchange for testifying against Vick."

Terribly damaging for VICK!

• Watch to make sure that a dog's pads don't burn on the hot pavement! Surface temperatures of sidewalks and surfaces like black asphalt far exceed the ambient temperature. For dogs, walking on such surfaces on a hot day can be like dancing on hot coal!
  
• Never leave a dog in a parked car. Even if you are running a quick errand, someone or something can distract or delay you. On a mild 73ºF day, the temperature inside a car can reach 120ºF in 30 minutes. On a 90ºF day, the interior of a vehicle can reach 160ºF in several minutes.
• If you see a dog who is panting excessively, drooling, or teetering inside a car, take down the car's color, model, make, and license plate number; have the owner paged inside the store or call local humane authorities or police. If the situation is an emergency, do whatever you can to get the dog out of the car—his or her life may depend on it.
• Trim heavy-coated dogs' fur, but leave an inch for protection against insects and sunburn.
• Watch for symptoms such as restlessness, excessive thirst, heavy panting, lethargy, lack of appetite, dark tongue, rapid heartbeat, fever, vomiting, or lack of coordination. If your dog shows any of these symptoms, get him or her into the shade immediately and call your veterinarian. Lower the animal's body temperature gradually by providing water to drink; applying a cold towel or ice pack to the head, neck, and chest; or immersing the dog in lukewarm (not cold) water.
