It's election-eve... are you ready to cast your vote for President of the United States?

Hypothetical question as California's primary isn't even here yet.  However,  the primary IS here for New Hampshire voters and this was the headline on a story on Fox 11 News with the voting just hours away:

"EVEN AT THIS LATE HOUR, SOME POLLS SAY AS MANY AS "HALF" OF NEW HAMPSHIRE'S VOTERS ARE STILL UNDECIDED!"

Undecided?  Undecided?  One viewer told our reporter John Schwada that a lot could change.  "In a few hours?" John questioned/stated.   How is it that HALF the voters in a state with an election tomorrow are still not sure whom to vote for???

It gets back to a thought I had several weeks ago.   Each candidate has something I don't like, something I like.    We Californians can continue to think on the matter, however, for those in New Hampshire it is decision time.  Polls indicate a Barack Obama win for the Democrats and a Mitt Romney win for the Republicans... with all candidates going after the "undecideds."

Losses in Iowa caused candidates Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd to leave the race.  Ron Paul was not invited to a candidates forum this weekend.   So, question now... who leaves after N.H.   My guess is the major candidates will stay until the big primary day on Feb. 5th.

As for the voter who said a lot could happen in a few hours.  The only thing that stood out on Monday was the emotion displayed by Hillary Clinton at a cafe where she teared up, voice cracking.   Will that help her or hurt her?   Another display of emotion was when Clinton was asked about being not like by some.  She replied... "well, that hurts my feelings."   A mentor of mine says emotion/tears is not for the workplace.   However, in Hillary Clinton's situation I believe it was a sign of how badly she wants this job and knows now she may be in jeopardy of losing the Democratic nomination to Obama.   I interviewed Laura Bush once and showed her a photo of President Bush in tears.   The First Lady, said, oh yes, the President cries.

We'll know Tuesday night who's crying tears of joy.

Christine People will want to be with a winner and un-less Obama makes a mistake he will probably win in California for the democratic representative. I am not commenting about the general election only the feb 05, primaries.I am yet waiting to get a more clear picture on the republican side. When my time come to vote I will know what to do.

I was invited to an obama rally in december 2007 in chicago. At that rally it was believed way in advance that obama would win Iowa,New Hampshire, and South Carolina. It's becomeing like a snow ball effect now.But anything really could happen I know that. When a person continue to lose money gets harder to get.

i don't agree with you when you say you cannot tell us how many people have called you and said that carlos is so nice. my problem is i don't want to see him. i did not watch ch 5 because i felt he and kriski and the wimpy computer guy were not my type. ch 11 had an edge, an unpolished roughness with which i felt comfortable. i like Ricky Garcia, but the rest of the talent acquired from chris-craft is inferior to what i am seeking. could you liven up your newscast with some aggressive dissing of carlos? pls do it for me. my fellow viewers will love it. i do not feel comfortable with carlos saying 'that's a great story' in a transition. i am home picking my nose watching the same story and i am capable of deciding what story is great. most stories are not interesting. i like the smart field reporter to give me some excitement. i am watching because i like to see the reporter. since the story is meaningless to me, just show me the reporter. and there is no reason for carlos to be smiling. give me the facial expression that is sincere. smiles do nothing for me. especially those who have had the white shine applied. maybe if everyone would keep their teeth unseen i would feel like giving a few compliments. christine, your cleavage is very pretty!

Christine,

Great question again, as usual! I do have an idea on whom I will be voting for, which I will not reveal on the blog; however, I must say that the coverage has been very interesting. I am getting very suspicious of the tactics I'm seeing in getting votes, especially with Hillary Clinton being in tears. If there is one word to describe the primaries, it's intense. I think blogger Media is correct about Obama likely being the Democrat's candidate in California. It will be very interesting to see who gets the Republican ticket. I don't think Hillary Clinton will win the final run-off ticket as the Presidential candidate for the Democrats...there are just too many skeletons in her closet. Perhaps we'll see a Romney-Huckabee ticket for the Republicans against Obama and Clinton, but who knows yet? Just a guess so far.

after tonight the writings on the wall..Hillery Clinton will be the Dem nominee..California will go to her as well as every state til she gets destroyed in the national election..we already been through this with Ferraro..its all a waste of energy while we have a democratic congress that has a lower approval rating than the president ..the next president will be a republican no matter who the Dem nominee is..

Democrats can thank Nancy Pelosi for her leadership in the House...she is sinking their boat quickly, with Clinton aiding and abetting her. I haven't forgotten the Ferraro fiasco; people didn't forget who Walter Mondale was. I don't think people have forgotten the Whitewater scandals either...this is going to be one intense dogfight to the end.

At this time, We need a Candidate who is for the People, Everyone leading the chase carries baggage that disqualifies them in the Hearts and minds of Millions of Prospective voters. If you have paid any attention at all to the process, You have seen and heard all the pluses and minuses attached to all these candidates, The Right, the Left, Labor and Business, Urban and rural, Rich and Poor, young and Old, Secular and evangelical, all have hot-button issues with no hint of compromise. With Obama's Inexperience I feel there could be a real change, but he's truly untried in every respect but full of promise.

At this point in reference to American Politics you want someone to work on your car that's knows how it's runs....? Or is Hope and promise enough? Whatever you do people please Vote! We need serious change before it's too late!

I still believe that California democrats will go for Obama. Hilliary'win in NH didn't amount to that much as for as I can see.And yet there will be a re-count of the votes in NH to see if everthing was fair I heard.I don't buy into this talk of non- experence. It's just a scare tactic.

While certain social conservatives are waiting for Obama -vs-Clinton to beat up on each other and that they the Republicans will capitalize an win. Well I don't think so. There's a momentum building across the political board and there will be a rude awakening.
Watch what Im's saying if the Republicans don't get a true leader soon.I know what the talk shows are saying on Radio which is the reverse of what I am saying. But I disagree with there perpective. There has to be a strong leader on the Republican side are it will be over.

Sebar, really, you're not going to vote? When I vote I also like to think of their team, and whom they might put in cabinet positions. Just think of the Bush administration. You didn't end up with just George Bush. You ended up with his team... his team of advisors.

It has been my honor to work(anchor 10pm news) at Fox 11 news since 1990(yes, I started when I was 2!) Jokes aside, Fox 11 has allowed me to continue my passion for knowledge and education. My parents were both educators and stressed "knowing about our world." They were aid workers in Brazil(my heritage) and Africa and emphasized a caring for community. I love coming to work each day and being a part of "what's new." Fox 11 has allowed me to serve through our Wednesday's Child program. Our goal, to help children in foster care... who will end up on the streets at 18... find permanent safe homes. Through WC we are using the power and outreach of TV to find adoptive homes for children in GREAT need. My parents were foster parents and adopted one boy. I was adopted by my step-dad, which gave me the name "Devine." At home, I enjoying cooking and fitness. I have a new puppy for the first time since high school and am completely in love. (and with my fiance too!)
